I dont know this story
But Tolkien writes about the Dagor Dagrath (or also DagOrath), the Battle of the Battles, when Melkor rises again and makes Men fight against the Elves... and he destroys the stars and kills the Sun/Arien, and her lover Fionwe swears to kill him for that... and, well, he DOES kill him, but with Morgoth he also destroys the whole world and everything comes to an end ("nothing lasts forever except for Ilúvatar himself"😉 and then the Second Music of the Ainur is sung and a new world arises... hm and as Men are not bound to the circles of the earth (thats why they can die and elves cant as long as the earth lives) they escape survive and something like that... Im not sure about the end.
Yes Morgoth came back but far later, took Him some time to get men to His side...
@Sauron: Dunno in detail... the name, I think, I have from the Unfinished Tales, the things about Fionwe and Túrin from the Lost Tales (dunno if 1 or 2)
@Túrin I'm not sure about the name but I think it was "Second Music" or at least something with music... you're right that (or "Second Theme"😉 was the name of this elf-song... hm what I wanted to say just another music. The new-world-thing is nowhere written in detail but there definitely is something about it though I have absolutely no idea where thats the problem so I cant read anything else about it
What I still wonder about is Celeg Aithorn that "shall cleave the world" (Beleg 🙂 sings about it in his sharpening song for the sword) I have no idea what it is supposed to be
exa, i had no idea what celeg aithorn was so i looked it up and i guess that at the end of the world when morgoth returns the valar are supposed to weild a weapon called, celeg aithorn. i found it in another forum and the person was talking about a poem in quenya, ambar-metta, or something like that?, that he translated and it talks about the restoration of the two trees. the dude said that it is in the history of middle earth volume 3 page 44. i am going to have to go home and look that up. it amazes me, i think i know my stuff in regards to tolkien, but there is so much info and everytime i learn something it opens up so much more i have no clue about, tolkien was a genius!
