Phoenix is the life force of the universe, the power which sustains life in reality, therefore Willrules' comments pertaining to it not ressurecting Sophie per se but instead just sustaining her life does not make any sense whatsoever. Sorry mate. 🙁

No counter... i have, and i did... if the phoenix was the life force of the universe, then guys like thanos, odin and toaa would be reliant on the phoenix's existance... 😬

But dude, i don't mind, so i'm not going to turn this into a 'how important/powerful is the phoenix' thread...

I have a question... whats been happening in adjectiveless x-men since the house of m ended?

Well is cyclops alive or dead

Which as its canon that the Phoenix Force is the life force of reality, that which spawns the Big Bang that must indeed be the case( with the exception of TOAA for obvious reasons):

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=3/7511343068.jpg&s=x11

creation is her "handiwork":

Eternity is an embodiment of the timeline that is brought into being by the Big Bang:

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=main/7/19916185890.jpg&s=f10

The Big Bang is the energies of the Phoenix Force:

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=3/7509330349.jpg&s=x11

Without its involvement in reality the universe would be a void:

Lets rephrase that. You have no valid counter. You have an opinion to the contrary which just happens to be incorrect.

You're just showing me things i've seen already... 😬

Plenty of characters say things that aren't true, it happens... cyclops once said he could shatter a moon, storm once said she could shatter emma frost... hercules used to say he could kick thor's ass... the phoenix is one of those characters that gets talked up big time, x-men writers have always had a habit of doing that...

My counter is valid (and correct) to me... and even after looking at your scans it still is... to me... so i really don't see the point in arguing about it anymore...

The difference is, that the characters who are saying this about Phoenix as ive shown include cosmic authorities such as Eternity, The Watcher and Death. Phoenix even states it herself:

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=3/7509420614.jpg&s=x11

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=3/7509432412.jpg&s=x11

The point is stated not just in X-titles but in Fantastic Four:

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=3/7509330349.jpg&s=x11

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=3/7415060097.jpg&s=x11

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=3/7509384335.jpg&s=x11

On top of that as you can see from the varying styles of the scans its a point that has been consistently stated, in multiple titles, by multiple sources ever since Phoenixes conception and right up until this day:

Uncanny X-men 2 months ago:

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=5/13616261699.jpg&s=f5

therefore making it canon regardless of your contrary opinion.

The point was even featured in the Phoenixes last bio which came out the end of last year:

http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=main/8/21314165232.jpg&s=f10

What have you got that conclusively shows that Phoenix is not the Big Bang or not the life force of reality? Given that its consistently stated in multiple official sources over the years you really dont have a case.

I have my opinion... and that's good enough for me... 😬

dude, seriously... i'm not disputing for one minute that these things have been written... i'm not disputing the fact that for all intents and purposes what these people are saying is true to them...

just, to me, reading the comic, i find it hard to believe that one single entity could have so much hinging on it... thats all...

its just my opinion... whether you consider it wrong or not is up to you...

But what you need to understand is that a personal opinion which is contrary to a point stated abundantly both on panel and in bios is irrelevant when talking in terms of whats canon for Marvel. Therefore while youre entitled to puzzlingly disregard what official sources state in favour of believing what you want to believe, dont treat such unsupported opinion as fact on a thread thats dealing with facts.

i never ONCE presumed that what i believed was a fact...

and marvel's canon is in a state... it has been for years...

Well when making a point within a questions and answers thread especially when responding to someones queries dont you think it should be made clear that what youre telling someone who is looking for factual answers, is in fact your unsupported opinion?

Comic continuity understandably is constantly in flux because of the vast numbers of different writers who give their takes on matters, however that doesnt excuse posting unsupported opinion in a questions and answers thread where people are looking for answers with a basis in fact, answers supported by current continuity.

All i said was that i agreed with another post... i did not once say 'oh, the phoenix is this or that'

Excuse? Please... all i did was respond to one post, i didnt reply to the question maker, so quit it... stop being such an ass about it...

please disregard this post, got my wires crossed i did...

what are the different mutant levels?
please give examples of each level

Well there are (to my knowledge), 3 levels of mutancy, Omega, Alpha and Beta (omega being the highest, beta the lowest)

Here's a link from wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega-level_mutant#Other_mutant_classifications

which gives a detailed account of what an omega level mutant is, though it may not be entirely accurate, as marvel has been rather vague in alot of cases when they should be explaining the intricacies of the mutant levels...

Alpha levels are guys like cyclops, wolverine, colossus, who, while having a pretty impressive power, have displayed that said power has limits...

Beta (i would think), is everyone else...

how come the arclight in marvel directory is different from the movies.

😆 dude, i've asked myself that question SOOOO many times it's not funny...

the marvel directory one is the comic one, its just that the movies don't much take after the comics, in ALOT of ways...

the producers/writers/directors obviously wanted to put their own spin on things...

but u know what there r other pages that say she uses her super strength to create shockwaves but marvel directory says nothing about it.

someone f'ed up bad

Well uncannyxmen.net (probably the best x-men site on the web) says:

well it says very little...

superhuman strength, endurance, reflexes, and resistance to injury, generate seismic energies around her hands that cause shockwaves and earth tremors

by that it would seem that her strength is a seperate power... i mean, colossus and the thing can make shockwaves just by clappipng their hands too...

what is Psylocke's current series?

please be specific

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psylocke

In the letters page of New Excalibur #8, Psylocke is said to join the Exiles in the coming months. Marvel editor Mike Marts also confirmed this on uncannyxmen.net. With her will go Claremont from Uncanny to take over the Exiles and oversee the character he created.

However Psylocke's appearance as well as Claremont's take-over of Exiles has been delayed as Claremont is recovering from cardiac stress, his first issue on the series and its release date have yet to be released.

Considering how Psylocke will soon join the Exiles, the flash of light she vanished in may have been Heather Hudson teleporting her to Panoptichron.

so, presumably she'll be joining the exiles...
