The League of Gentlemen

Not to be confused with the similar titled Sean Connery film, The League of Gentlemen is a dark almost macarbe British comedy set in and around the fictional village of Royston Vasey, the inhabitants are unusal to say the least. All the leads are played by four men (the excellent Reece Sheersmith,Jeremy Dyson,Steve Pemberton & Mark Gatiss),the show pays tribute to films such as Eyes Wide Shut,The Wicker Man and even Alive, the DVD commentary from the shows stars is hilarious but the show is not to everyones taste and often you will need a strong stomach, Dark Humour at its best.

i remember the first serious was funny, but the second series was really lame...

i thought TLOEG was a film of TLOG, a comedy, but i was wrong 🙁
