I was really pissed when I saw her at the Disney awards as well, then I got over it. she's a girl...she's growing up....she's THIRTEEN for cryin out loud, that's one of the hardest ages...leave her be. so she's a slut, so she' wears high heels (what's the big deal? she's short.), so she wears makeup. no one really cares.
on another forum, i had a whole debate going on herm's hair. that's something i can't stand. WHAT DOES BSUHY MEAN TO YOU!?!?? DOES IT MEAN PERFECT, ANGELIC CURLS, OR DOES IT MEAN FRIZZ, ELECTRICITY, AND THE LIKE?!?! i'd say the latter. most of u would agree. i HATE herm's hair in the movie.
outside of them, however, i LOVE emma's hair dos. there awesome.

I just wandered in last night when I was searching for some info.. I absolutely cannot believe people are so passionate about this.
I understand most people here are about Emma's age, so that makes it easy to slam her - after all, that's what happens when we are jealous of another - slamming them down makes us feel better about ourselves.. it's easy to envy her - she's pretty and successful, and hangs out with all the guys you're all going to marry (hehe).. but geez!
Cut the girl some slack.. She's a kid.. yah - she has been given the role of a lifetime - and she's doing it better than ANY of us could.. and she's doing it so well that we don't separate the role from her.
Let the poor girl grow up.. She's got it much harder than any of us - she has to do it in front of a camera. She has to do it with the scrutiny of millions picking on every thing she does, wears, or says..
That totally must suck. I know I couldn't do it. I think she's handling herself better than most stars struck with fame, who are double her age.

Seriously, I don't look anything like Hermione, nor do I live in the UK, but I honestly do think that I COULD do a better job. The main reason is probably because I'm very much like Hermione, snotty, bossy, prissy. Emma isn't...not so smart and bookish as Hermione. And I'll admit that I'm very jealous of her, but that's not the reason I think she doesn't act well. The reason is because...I think she doesn't act well, lol! It must be hard as hell to be her, yeah, and some interviews did say that she was seen crying between back-to-back interviews. But I do think that I and a lot of other people could portray Hermione better. Too bad we don't look the part... 🙁

Yah.. that's a sign of a true actress - the fact she IS totally different from her. Emma seems to have feelings and tenderness, though she also has parts of Hermione - - all of us do. It's part of a person - we all have several sides to us.
It's a sign of a pretty good actress if we are upset when she doesn't act like her character all the time.. =)
She just can't win, can she? Act like her character, what a snob! Not act like her character, anyone could do better.. she just can't win - no matter what she does.
Oh I'm not hating on her, but without thinking about any other pressure she may get, strictly looking at her acting in the movies...she's really not great. That crying scene was awesome, and she says the lines very Hermione-like, but in general, she overacts a lot of things and just isn't a brilliant actress.
Seriously, she's only getting all the fame she's getting becuz she's a Harry Potter kid. There's proof of that, with Daniel Radcliffe. I hadn't even heard of David Copperfield before it was mentioned in his biography. And you can't say that Emma's a better actress than Dan. So if she'd done a movie before, I probably wouldn't have heard of it either.
But I do think that Emma's really cool. I don't mind that she's conceited. She's got reason to be! 🙂
