"Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue.
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops,
Away above the chimney tops.
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow,
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow,
Why then - oh, why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow,
Why, oh, why can't I?" - Judy Garland or Sam Harris(1984 version)
🤣
That's beautiful, finti. Thanks for the song; made me sing along with it.
It was a long trip, 4 weeks worth, went to Michigan to see our youngest son, to Missouri to gather up stuff still in storage and visit with friend with terminal cancer, and to upstate New York to visit the in-laws and out-laws.
Yes, it was cold and wet, rainy, foggy, windy, but, oh, those beautiful fall leaves, all reds, oranges, yellows with the few greens, just gorgeous. It was a 9 hour flight from Chicago to Hawaii, very long flight.
Probably won't make that trip again for another two years; takes me 2 years to save up enough vacation days to be gone for a whole month.
so good to be home in the warm sunshine and back to shorts and tank tops. 😄 😮💨 🤣
Slept alot since I only got 2 hours of shut-eye. notice I said, shut-eye, not sleep. was busy packing during the night after a very busy day in town, and cooking a huge family dinner. One of those last suppers for everyone.
listened to music. Anjelina Jolie's movie, Laura Croft, was the flight movie.
