I said I was going to delve into a little trivia, which meant I was going to waffle on about it. Why would I ask you questions? I'm hardly going to get a pleasant answer am I?
And I believe I said PRINCESS of Pop, not Queen of Pop.

Anyhow, apologies for the delay, I was working on a blend.

First came to fame as a member of The Disney Channel's Micky Mouse club, during it's 1993 and 1994 seasons. Other members of this club include ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, Pop rival Christina Aguilera, Kerry Russell and Ryan Gosling.
Her first album on Jive Records was .....Baby, one more time. This album debited at #1 on the Canadian Charts, as well as the US Billboard 200, where it remained for six weeks. The single of the same name reached #1 in both the US and the UK, as well as many other countries, and was accompanied by a music video in which Spears wore a schoolgirl outfit and danced down a school corridor.

Alright, here's my final thought. I personally believe that Miss Spears' popularity would have never risen so far and so fast if it weren't for two things:
1) The title of the song - everybody knows what she's talking about
2) The school girl uniform. I don't listen to that crap and don't care but believe me, I sure as hell knew that there was a girl in a school girl uniform in a music video when it came out.

Britney broke the record for the youngest artist, at age 17, to have his or her first single reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also broke the record for the youngest artist, at age 17, to have his or her first album simultaniously reach #1 on the Billboard charts. She still holds this record.

Tiffany or Debbie Gibson, I'm sure, has the record. There's no way that both of them were denied a #1 spot on the charts, and they were 16.
