Re: 2 years left. long time that is.
I don't know maybe it is? What's film resolution? I would guess that since the film is the end product at this point it is..The CGI(digi mattes and such) are probably higher because they'd want to be to manipulate it without losing the quality, but I'm not sure about the 3D part.
Re: 2 years left. long time that is.
EJ, I am sorry but you are talking out of your ear!!!!!
Filming continued from the main players such as Lucas, Hayden, etc. George Lucas was in Elstree until last Wednesday filming the final scenes.
The Australian studio did reduce operation levels for the duration of the Olympics and with good cause.
1. They are in the host city of the host nation and a lot of people would not want to miss a once in a lifetime opportunity.
2. All new movie productions at the facility had taken the decision to avoid starting filming in this two week period as the city is already a complete circus right now.
3. NON of the Australian crews who didn't go on with the production to other world locations were required.
Filming or Episode-II has NOT been put on hold because of the Olympics. They have completed principal photography. They are continuing now with special effects, sound, etc.
And I'm sure they do take breaks to watch the Olympics ON TV WITH A COFFEE.
God man, these are human beings doing a high pressure, quality job and if the rush it they may screw it up and you'll be one of the first to complain.
They have always stated that this movie will have an extended post production period, it's a highly special effects orientated movie and you can't just knock it together in 6 months.
Special Effects take a LOT of work to get right, try looking into the subject a bit I you will be horrified and the number of man hours that are put on a simple effects movie, let alone something of the calibre of Star Wars.
Ok, I'll stop ranting now and go let my blood pressure drop off a bit.
