Omega>We made a connection with Neo and Trin. We put ourselves in their shoes...Can you imagine just going from an ordinary guy(girl) to someone who saves the world/dies saving the world in months? Would you?

I still end up in tears watching the DVD. At least now I can weep uncontrollably and theres light so I can find my kleenex...

(sighs)
But why? Why do these deaths tear us apart like they do?
Mifune didn’t die in vain. Neither did Trin or Neo (or whatever happened to them).

What would’ve happened if they’d all survived? Aside from disbelief at no casualties?? Imagine the end of Revos with Neo and Trin standing there, and then “The End.” NOW what? Just boring everyday life? What’s wrong with dying for something you believe in? Trinity even told Mero to “Believe it!”. She would die for Neo, and she did. Neo died bringing peace. What better way to go?
So… why?

i know...its because, we see these heroic acts by these people that are near and dear to us, and it makes us sad. Not that they gave themselves for Zion, but that they had to die to accomplish it. Also, look at the way they died...Mifune was slashed by a thousand sentinels, and he did it knowing that he would die, so that he could do his part in the fight. Trinity died with metal rods in her arms and abdomen, but she died complete, with her love right beside her. Neo sacrificed himself to save, literally, a few billion people, and even though he's not dead, the fact that the Zionites won't see him again in real life is frightening...In a way, we put ourselves into Zion, we imagined that we were actually there, in the throngs running for their lives. We connected with Morpheus and Mifune, with Neo and Trinity, with Lock and Link, and we were terrified that the Zionites would be lost forever. When the sentinels stopped circling, and flew back out of Zion, we rejoiced, not only because the war was over, but because WE were safe. In times of war, casualties are feared, and their deaths are undesireable, but we recognize it as the perils of war. However, to lose those closest to us, makes us greive despite the fact that they died for us. THAT, is why we are sad.

Now for a banana... 💃

Jesus, Jedi. As I was reading that, my Grandfather is in the other room, watching a movie with the song "Crazy Love" in it...Fitting my friend, fitting...

hahaha...sometimes, coincidences occur that are just too amazingly unbelieveable to be considered coincidence, despite the fact that usually they are. I'm not saying that it is always coincidence, i believe in miracles and supernatural occurances, but sometimes things just happen without rhyme or reason. But not in the Matrix...😄

Why is this thread blue?

your not alone 😮

When Morpheus was saying goodbye to Neo I felt very sad.
When Neo turned into Smith at the end my heart sank.

But one question: why is this called the BLUE THREAD?

Or should it be the Blues thread?

well we are all feeling blue

Blue blue blue. Blue too. 😄

give me your sig 😐

That is one of the best sigs that has to do with the Matrix that I've ever seen...

give it to meee 😐

what sig?

The Alpha's

Why "The Blue thread"? Because we made this after Revolutions came out, so those of us who felt "blue" could find comfort in each others company...

I wasnt feeling very well yesterday so i decided to go to bed with a big tub of chocolate ice-cream and watch Revolutions. I didnt know that crying made you feel better 😬

Korri> 😆 sometimes thats what you need...

i was watching my revolutions dvd today and when the logos crashed into 01, i saw every single rod enter trinity's body. i know it has always been there but i never really saw the rods penetrate... today i've seen it. ouch.

Okay, something that i've heard mention only rarely in this matrix forum is some of the comedic things that happen. Such as Neo running after the subway train, through the tunnel, and back on the other side. I laughed out loud at that part, then he says shit, and i laughed some more. What about when bane wakes up, and everyone is sitting there, and cap. roland is questioning him. His lines are very funny to me. And then Smith's meeting with the oracle was bordering on freakin hysterical!

Whatshisface>I've seen that since the first time I watched it(in the theaters). It's one of the reasons I wasn't shocked(everyone else in the theater gasped when they saw the rods) when I saw here laying there with the rods...
