It’s supposedly released next summer. That gives us some 7 months to figure out exactly what to expect.

the matrix website actually sucks for info on the game.. atleast at my last check but there is a video trailer and many screens online just not there for some reason.. i know www.gamespot.com has some stuff on it. it looks very promising

yes, it is a Massively multiplayer online Role playing Game (MMORPG), like SW Galaxies, Everquest, and World of Warcraft...

It makes me kinda mad though that they made it an online game where you will have you have to pay (monthly fee). I still have not bought an online game that requires a montly fee and it looks like i might have to drop some cash on the table if i want to see what happens past revolutions. crap.

How much will it probably cost monthly?

Is it only going to be available for the P.C or have they any plans for a xbox version??

Some news on The Matrix Online.

There will be two fractions. One is called the “Zionists”. They want to break the Matrix and reclaim the entire real world.
The other fraction, which is yet to be named, cast in their lot with the machines and fight to keep those who’re not ready for the truth inside the Matrix, having seen the devastation of reality.
Deciding which side to join will be one of the first decisions we’ll make as players.
I have chosen. 🙂
And also a name!

The RSI’s (residual self Images). We’ll be able to mark our growing abilities and power by being able to upgrade to cooler and cooler clothing. Our initial RSI will be outfitted with ill-fitting suits or torn jeans and sneakers (A little like Neo in the beginning of M1), but upgrades in clothing come soon enough. One of the designers is doing nothing but developing cool new outfits to wear.

There will be agents.
