whose that blonde in the first one and what's the deal with that little dragon with kitty?

the blonde girl is husk. the dragon is lockheed, kitty's pet.

how did she acquire lockheed?

when the x-men were fighting an alien race, the dragon appeared and began following kitty. after the battle they returned to earth, and shadowcat discovered the dragon had managed to survive. she named him lockheed and he's been with her ever since.

why did lockheed follow kitty and in the comics, do you get to see the dragon grow?

why he followed her? i'm not sure. and i don't recall him growing in size.

i looked up pix of him in the google search engine, only found ones from what looks to be old/early x-men comics.

any comic with kitty will probably have lockheed (ie. excalibur, new mutants . . .)
