I personally didn't see it but my friend did, he said that the city 01 was a Mandelbrot fractal (infinitely complex geometric shape) can anybody confirm or deny this?

It was fractals, yes. But it wasn't a mandelbrot fractal. Fractals are geometric shapes, but they reside in fractal dimensions if you like.
yeah, i knew they were fractals, which was part of the reason i love the beginning of Revolutions so much...but i have no idea what the difference between mandelbrot and regular fractals are...

Actually... I think the Rev beginning fractal may be a close-up of one part of this, before you find the original shape again...
