I may sound like a hypocrite saying most of you are lying and I'm not, but there simply is no scientific explanation for most of these. Mine does. The tongue is simply a physical deformity, much like an extra toe or finger, and is barely noticable when you aren't looking for it. Everyone has a slight mutation, usually so small that you never know it's there. This is what makes every person unique, and allows evolution to occur. The voice thing in and unto itself is not a mutation. Everything has a sound wave that can break it, but fortunately it is barely ever made in almost every case. The most well known one is the one that can break glass, which is very unpleasant to the human ear as well. In enough numbers of people, each with a unique vocal range, you will find at least one who's voice can at least bring extreme discomfort or break someone or something.
