x-men synchronicity

Synchronicity is the art of combing unrelated sounds (ie an album) with unrelated pictures (ie a film). these are syncs ive discovered for X-men:

Kid X
Start the Radiohead album 'Kid A' as soon as the screen goes black after the Fox logo. play the whole album, stopping after the extra bit of music after Track 10 (about 5mins10secs into track 10).

Hail To The X-Men
Start the Radiohead album 'Hail To The Thief' 1 minute 53 seconds before Cyclops blows the roof off the station. the guitars after the lyric 'because' should coincide with exterior shot of red going thru the roof. ends at credits

The Soft X-Men Bulletin
Start the UK version of the Flaming Lips album 'The Soft Bulletin' on Track 5 when the screen goes black after the Fox logo disappears at the start of the film.

play tracks 5-14 repeat 1-12. ends at credits.

give the syncs a try - gives you a whole new way to experience the film!

interesting. i still won't watch the movies though.

? you wont try the syncs or wont watch x-men?

give it a go- im guessing the hardcore fans have watched the film over+over so its a new way to experience it.

🙂

what i meant is, i find the idea interesting. but i won't watch the movies (i have seen half of the first one, actually) since i think the storyline sucks.

and i disagree. watching the movies over and over does not a true fan make. and i am sure many people have become fans of x-men because of the movies, and if left at that, have an incomplete idea of what it is like.

yeah i agree that watching the films over and over doesnt mean anything but i figured people are likely to have done that if they are in this forum so this gives them an alternative way to view it.

"i am sure many people have become fans of x-men because of the movies, and if left at that, have an incomplete idea of what it is like"

yeah thats probly true but if you own the film and the albums its worth trying.

🙂
