Nas vs Jay-z

hey to all those rap/hip hop fans. you guyz know about the nas/jay-z beef right? its old but just wanted to see if anyone knows about this. 🙂

the beef is more then a year old anyways

back then i wouldve said nas..right now they all suck..nas's album god's son big disspointment and jay-z's blueprint 2 is a pile of shit and i havent heard the black album yet..i just hope nas makes a better album next time..something like illmatic or stillmatic where nas really shines !!
they are not the same..its all comerical for them now!!

nah man i like Nas better. Jay-z has a great flow but he raps about crap.

but some of his songs are good.

they both rap about crap now..all those mainstream rappers rap about the same thing now..i was exited for dmx's new album but it turned to be CRAP! rap was done for me when stillmatic got old!

but i do looove outkast's new album better then stankonia which was great too!!

some mainstream is good but underground rap is best.

i loved big l !! the poor and the dangerous is a great album.

nas' "illmatic" is a classic and after that it all fell apart. he occasionally will produce a gem, but that's not enough to be the second coming of rakim.

jay-z...i like the first album a lot...bought the second album and was dissappointed...haven't bought one since. if it's any consolation to him, my non-hip hop loving wife likes his songs.

as far as any beef is concerned, it's old news and unnecessary. unless all they want to do is sell records to the masses. remember boys and girls, mass appeal ain't the real deal.

nas fell apart after illmatic but on stillmatic he was just as great but then again he disspointed me with god's son as for jay-z i like reasonable doubt but after that all his albums were rubbish but i liked the blueprint..then it was the blueprint 2 an album that i hate very much!!! the cover of tupacs " me and my girlfreind " really SUCKS!!

I would vote for Nas. Jay-z raps about his "hos" Cars and gold.

As far as best rappers in my eyes would be Mos Def & talib queli (Blackstar), Ugly Duckling, Andre 3000, and of course 2pac (RIP maybe)

mos def and talib kewli are hip hop at its greatest...its been a while since mos def released a solo album
