someone around here may have but alot of people still dont know this forum exsists 🙁 (a member made a thread looking for it),sorry rex I havent...yet!

so whats it about? and have you read the Bradbury Stories : 100 of His Most Celebrated Tales...does that have any martian chronicles in it?

I read it and give it 9/10

Ray Bradbury is great in sci/fi. rTake a look at Farenheit from Bradbury too.

I recommend you books from Phillip K. Dick, Clifford Simak, Stanislaw Lem and Rober Heinlein. 🙂

Bumping an old thread (search button does work)

I hadn't read TMC since my jr high school days. And I'm currently re-reading some of my faves like Dune, 2001 A space Odyssey, and Farenheit 451. So I'm picking up the book again and found it to be as good as the first time. Mr. Bradbury is indeed a very good sci-fi writer. I hate rating books but this one is an absolute 9/10. Near perfection.

I read the "Sound of Thunder" short story by him. Really enjoyed it. 😄

My sister was reading Farenheit 451 a while back, but I never got a chance to try it. I might read that one next.

So what's The Martian Chronicles about?

TMC is about humans migration from earth to mars in the years 1999 to 2026. It chronicles the first expedentions (sp?) to mars and explains what happen to the men who ventured into the planet. And yes the martians aren't as welcoming as the earth men thought they would be.

😆

Sounds cool. Might have to check it out. 😄

I didn't like it too much...I preferred Fahrenheit 451
