Actually it had more in common with Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead then either of the movies you just mentioned. Like Dawn of hte Dead it included very light and pleasant music while showing horrific images of a world gone mad. Also, like Day of the Dead, the mililtary establishment in the end was a grim reminder of how humans are far worse then any zombie or 'infected'. I don't see much in common with Return of the Living dead except for vague similarity of the zombies running rather then walking slowly, and I don't see how it's at all like Resident Evil, except it has to do with a virus of somesort, another vague similarity.
Underworld....man oh man, what a terrible, cliched movie. Just a movie trying to capitalize on the whole 'vs' trend at the moment. Relying on the gimmick of werewolves vs vampires to get noticed, rather then relying on quality film making and innovation like 28 Days Later did. Underworld was basically a combination of Blade, Matrix, and the premise of Jason vs Freddy, with some garbage thrown into the mix for good measure. It was just another bad queen of the damned type movie that the mindless vampire fans loved simply because it had vampires in it. Also, the movie was simply boring, for a movie that sold itself as a 'VS' film, there really wasn't much action...Now I'm not usually one to crave constant action, but when the story is so crappy and mundane as it was in Underworld, it can't rely on said story to keep people interested. Man, what a terrible film.
at least 28 days later didn't rely on crappy gimmicks to sell tickets, it relied on a stylish look, creepy atmosphere, and word of mouth to sell tickets.
Oh, and I've seen plenty of old horror movies my friend, everything from the 20's too the 70's too the modern ones. Just because you're older then me doesn't mean that gives you any credibility in the topic, it just is a crutch, a cop out that you can use when you have no relevant defense against criticizme for a film as bad as Underworld, (I'm older then you, thus I know more).
Why don't you stick with what you know and continue dressing up like that lame blade guy in your free time, seem's trying to prove your expertise by physical means works much better for you, since you obviously can't do it verbally.

😄 you should work on summarizing because your little novel here was about as boring as that lame movie you're working to defend. Don't make like your little movie is so special. Let's see..... a small band of people with conflicting personalities running from an overwhelming number of monsters, sorry but it's been done and better I might add 🙄 Practically everything has been done already so you'll probably be waiting for a long time for something original.
