Anybody following the Episode 201 controversy? Matt Stone and Trey Parker pretty much have death threats sent to them by Muslim extremists, Comedy Central bleeps a ton of stuff that South Park use to get away with (which sounds like it has pissed off Matt Stone and Trey Parker), repeats of the episode have been pulled (not sure if that was Comedy Central's doing or Stone/Parker's due to not wanting a butchered version of their episode airing), and they can't even get an uncensored version on the internet.

Freakin crazy. Btw, the episode was awesome regardless of the controversy. I loved the unveiling of Cartman's father.

Was a great episode regardless of the censoring. It also further drove the point home about the insanity surrounding this double standard.

i prefer the older episodes from the late 90's, although the show is consitent i suppose

🙂 I love South Park, how can you not? It’s one of those pieces of US culture that makes me proud to be an American. It feels so accessible, the Matt and Trey dream….like that all I need to do to come up with the next best million-dollar idea is sit around with my stoner buddy and think about third grade. This has to be one of the best South Park reviews I’ve ever seen. It deals deftly with the whole Muslim issue and then totally backs that up with: “I have nothing against Muslims by the way. I have lots of Muslim friends.”

I was dissapointed with what CC did to episode 201, censoring the shit out of it, I hope it's un-censored on DVD

It was supposed to be censored.

when does the new season start? I know they got into a lot of trouble after making fun of that god or whatever it is

They are still in Season 14. It will continue airing in October.

The seasons take break in the summer. They have for around 5-6 years now. They do the first half in the spring and the second half in the fall. South Park didn't get in trouble with anyone. Without them Comedy Central is utter shit as is Viacom.

An extremist group indicated that the pair may get murdered (complete with maps to their homes) and Comedy Central didn't want to risk losing their 2 biggest stars so the episode was censored without notifying Parker/Stone. Parker and Stone said they did not want their episode replayed unless it was in the form that they originally had it. Though, I do believe Parker and Stone intentionally had the image of Mohammed censored.

To be honest, I found the censoring of Kyle's speech hilarious. Probably more funny than if they'd actually broadcast it.

I am a huge fan of this series.This show has made a big place on screen.All seasons have success ed.I want to tell the guys who are fan of south park that we are enjoying the fourteenth season of the show and soon, we will get the next season of the show i.e. the fifteenth one.
