Dom is in the top 3 main characters. Although sometimes we may not see that...it's how it is. JJ has already promised that the only way Dom will no longer be on the show is if he just doesn't come out of his trailer anymore.
He's a permanent character because he's got such a huge fanbase that watches the show. So...he's in all, but one episode I believe. And you guys will just love how his character grows, but in the finale, he does something really stupid.
There are 14 main characters and Dom is in the top 3. Jack, Kate, Charlie, Sawyer, Sayid, Hurley, etc.

i dont think dom is one of the top 3 characters either. i think it's jack.kate.sawyer.sayid are really the top 4. they're sort of... the leaders. even in the photoshoots of the whole cast those 4 actors are emphysized, even over dom. i do think dom is one of the main characters. but i'd put him in my top 5 over top 3. even if he is in most of the episodes, he normally doesn't have a huge part, normally just a couple lines or a side actor really. one of the followers. not the leaders

I agree with sblomie. Sorry Kella, but I think Sawyer and Sayid have bigger parts than Charlie. I dunno... I mean, he's important to the show and everything, but I think he's in the top 5 main characters rather than the top 3 like sblomie said. He's still my favorite no matter what, though. 😄
