Havnt played 2k8, but I know that this version of NHL 08 is much better than two years ago for 2k series.
Also, it actually works on my XBOX.
It's damn fun.
Rent it and see. Feels like hockey.
I re-discovered emulators a few days ago. So instead of Mass Effect (which I just borrowed from a friend) I beat Aladdin (Sega Genesis) and I'm part-way through Batman Returns right now (also Genesis). I own Batman and beat Aladdin a long time ago, but setting up the Genesis (and finding it, at this point) is a b*tch and there's a few games I don't have, can't find anywhere else, but want to play. NES too, since my own stopped working years ago.
Screw emulators. I can't get the buttons to work right for most games for some reason...responsiveness issues, and controllers > keyboards for games that were designed for controllers.
Anyway, it was reason enough to set up my Genesis again and just play the games I had on the cpu anyway. Batman Returns is my current drug of choice. Ebay purchases of excellent old sh*t likely to follow in the coming days...

Digi, it's because your Emulating games with complicated controllers.
Something Akin to a gameboy, gba, Nes and a DS would be best for Emulator, anything else is too much hassle and would require you to buy a USB controller.
