And while I'm at it, I'll just try doing what the topic was asking:
What I like about the X-Men??
This has just recently come into my mind about way the X-men is so popular with a wide fan base. Viewers of all ages, genders, and races seem to enjoy watching the show or seeing the movies or even reading the comics and I believe it is because of a few key factors.
For one it is about a group of people being outlasted by society because they are different. In most comics there is only one hero and while he may have scorners he also has loyal adjourning fans. Then the x-men come along where an entire group or race of people is being singled out because they are not the same as everyone else. This issue is evident in today’s society and nearly every era of human exteince, where a certain group is singled out and shunned/harassed because of they are not like the rest of us. Think about the Jews and the millions that have gotten killed, simply because they where different. Blacks, Mexicans and other minorities who are often the but of jokes, not considered a real person, or one that matters, because of their race. Condemned to slavery and segregated simply because the pigment of the skin is not the same as ours. Even today anyone that is considered different by society standards is shunned. Which leads to the point nearly every one of us can identify with the x-men because they are being shunned or rejected for something they can not control.
Another thing is that is not just one person that can be the hero or villains, millions of people can. Where as most powers in comics are received by a freak accident to one individual, in X-men they have made it where during an uncontrollable change in the body, could result in you having special abilities. It’s an easy explanation of way there can be so nany mutants out there, and goes to show just about anyone can become a mutant, or could be one.
Another thing since the mutant gene usually acts up around puberty it means teenagers can harness these sometimes powerful powers. It’s not confined to only the adult genre or older teenagers, now kids as young as thirteen can harness powers. It’s not some all powerful hero that nobody can relate to; its millions of real people with real problems suddenly going through a radical change.
Well, those are my views, feel free to make your on or make any comments.
And yes. I was bored 😆 😮💨
