in the vs forum ive seen a few threads that included cyclops facing gambit, and the general consensus was that cyke would beat him...
Yes, but would it be fair to look at all of Cyke's potential and not Gambit's? I mean, aren't you always saying that Cyclops limits the strength of his blasts? Well, Gambit does that too, only he limited his by a surgery.
And by the way, I've seen several Cyclops v. Gambit forums, and they usually say Gambit would win...

cyke doesnt have potential, without his visor he'd kill everyone around him... he's as powerful as he's gonna be... his visor does the limiting... all he has to do is take it off...
gambit is different, they go on about potential and what not without giving anything concrete...

But what im saying is that cyke has his full power... people know that if they take the visor off a huge blast will come out and destroy everything in its path...
the same cant be said about gambits brain, they can only guess... his powers may be stronger, or they might not be... nothing is definate...
so calling them his "full abilities" is a bit premature imo...
if he was that strong then he'd be fighting the likes of god-cable ffs...

Gambit currently with standard powers would most likely be beaten by cyclops (depending on battlefield and starting positions of course)...
putting new son gambit against cyke is like putting superman against my little brother...
