*alex leaned over and gave kitty a sidearm hug, look itll be alright. listen i gotta get to class, call me if u need anything alright... hey listen are u gonna go to the party tonight. Jems havin one at her house?"

"Not sure. I don't have any reason to go, you know, no friends and all." Kitty said.

Evan, now abandoned by his cousin, was opening his locker nearby and overheard the conversation. He fell into step next to Kittie. "Hey, gothic friendless girl, my cousin's making me go to that party so I can 'get to know' some people. Uh, I couldn' help overhearing that you didn't know anybody there. So I was thinking, we could go together, for moral support against the ****tards and everything?"

Kitty laughed. "Sure" she said. "But I have to warn you I always get these weird looks."

Evan chuckled. "Don't worry, I get that all the time. People seem to think it's weird when they see me at rock shows."

"Inside is fine." jem answered as they found an empty table. She sat down. "Thanks... for lunch and everything." She laughed, then took a bite of her hambuger.

"I don't see why." Kitty said laughing softly.

Jem laughed. "Nah, they're staying with my grandpa for the weekend. And my sister is spending the night at a friend's house... So yeah, the whole house to myself." She laughed.

"haha, look at you very nice... hopefully things wont get out of hand. ill stay after to clean with you. i can see if i can get some people to stay as well. So are you a regular party freak. like do i have to be careful with what im gettin myself into?"

Jem laughed, "Noo way. I mean, I got to parties every once in awhile, but I don't get drunk and crap. I just like hanging out with people and stuff."

"yeah im pretty much the same way, i kinda like to remember what i did the night before that was so funny. i dont like to laugh at somethin i did that im not really sure even happened"

"Yeah. I mean, I used to party more, but now it's like like, yeah, I just wanna get by in high school and go to college and not end up doing something I'm gonna regret in the long run." Jem said.

"thats actually pretty smart, i already know a bunch of people who have messed up things in their lives and will live to regret it for a while. last thing you want to do is end up pregant or not graduating for at least doing the bare minimum" said logan
