The High School

Kitty smiled. "ANytime." she said over the motor.

Evan drove to Kitty's house and pulled into the driveway.

KItty bit her lip. "Wanna come in?" she asked rubbing the back of her neck nervously.

"Sure." Evan flipped the kickstand down and set the bike down carefully.

Kitty led Evan up to the house. She opened the door. SIghing she rolled her eyes. "Must be at the hospital." she muttered leading EVan into the kitchen.

"Uh... Who's at the hospital?"

"My sister." Kitty shrugged. She opened the fridge and began to look for something to eat. "Want anything?"

"What do you have?"

"Er," Kitty paused. "A bunch of southern country food and lasagna."

Evan shrugged. "I'm good, I just ate a couple hours ago."

"Anything to drink. I think we probably have any beer ya like." she stepped back so he could see.

Jem went back to the living room. She took a drink of her beer and called out Logan's name.

Evan grabbed a can of soda out of the fridge. "Thanks."

Kitty nodded and grabbed a sunkist. "So what do you want to do?"

"I don't know, what do you do all day?" Evan chuckled.

"Uh, really?" Kitty asked blushing slightly as she sat down at the kitchen island.

"Why not, it's not like we have anything else to talk about."

"Hey!" Kitty defended. She sighed. "I hang out with my uncle at the morgue."

Evan laughed. "The morgue? That's awesome," he said with a grin.

"Really? You're not freaked out?" Kitty asked.
