I climbed on the roof of the Royal Victoria & Albert Museum and got caught!

Friday night, with a few friends, I went messing around as usual which we always do on friday nights. We're used to climbing, just for fun, on london buildings and houses or doing all kinds of crazy things like fighting on the street, pretending to knock ourselves onto posts and filming it all on camera.

Yesterday, we didnt have our camera luckily, but we still did all our usual stuff until we came across and easy climable wall on the Victoria and Albert Museum. We climbed up the collums with people staring at us because it was quite a busy road.

We came onto a flat roof and started to explore around. REMEMBER: We are not criminals and didnt want to break in or anything, it was just a bit of dangerous fun which we all love. We went further down, and then saw a guard. We're use to that. We just ran back but we didnt realise that the floor we were on which was a little bridge was metalic and it made a big noise.

We waited on the other side and then heard the guard going OI!!!
We ran for our lives. We ran back towards the wall we climbed on and jumped off it. I had to wait a tiny bit because one of my mates took a while to go down. But that was enough. As soon as I went down on the ground, four guards jumped on me; I didnt even have time to get up.
The others managed to ran off but two of them got very lucky because the guards managed to put an arm on them but didnt manage to hold on.

They escorted me into the museum security control room and called the cops. The cops asked me what I was doing here, if I stole anything, if I vandalised the place, and the names of the guys who were with me. I didnt give them the names of course but they all still managed to get caught afterwards.

I'm thoroughly depressed and hope that things wont get worse since my school is near that museum. So the cops will contact them and give us our names. I've had that kind of problem last year and I got expelled for two days. This time it might be forever. My parents are pissed off and
I'm trying to put together a story to explain to the headmaster why we went up there. The school's responsible since I didnt go home before that time. At least there are four of us so I dont have to face the music on my own. I also hope I'm not going to get a criminal record. All we can do now is hope.

I dont think you are gonna get criminal record..if you are not 18 and if this is you're first offence then you are not gonna get one.

Royal Victoria & Albert Museum!!! You cant seriously expect to climb all over it and not get caught....

Here's the museum: 🙁

I had a better head-start since it was the back door and no busy street. We saw two of the guards inside the building running towrds the exits with their talkie-walkies. But this time the guards were close to that wall we climbed on because it was on a busy road. We were very lucky that time.

Plus we didnt do that stuff during daytime otherwise we wouldnt of had a chance of getting to the point we got to and wouldnt of even thought of doing it. Both times the museums were CLOSED.

Having re-read my posts, I admit it seems unlikely and like I'm showing off, but I'm not. I feel like shit and only hope things wont get worse.

The night we did on the Natural History Museum which was closed of course, we went through the back of the place. Oh and that time it wasnt the roof, it was between four walls but still outside. We had to climb a wall to get to that pit nethertheless. There were plenty of windows which gave into that area and that's how the guards saw us.
Luckily we saw them too. They then called into their talkie walkies and that's when we ran at full speed and managed to get away.

Friday, it was on a smaller roof than the front roof we see on the pic but still quite tall. We could of all gotten away with it again but we took to much time to react and go down the wall. That's why I got caught. Plus, since there was an entrance to the museum on the road, the guards came out quicker that time. While waiting for the cops, a guard told me that people got caught up there all the time.

Friday, we were unlucky and stupid (which I am all the bloody time).

Exacly...when museums are CLOSED they still have security you know...a high one for that matter...

✅ higher than in the day

Security's high inside the building but not outside. They didnt even have CCTVs both times.

They have CCTV, and im sure of it...especially at Royal Victoria...there are some darn expecnive stuff inside! 😕

Oh yes, of course there is CCTV but not in the area we went. I overheard a guard saying to a cop, that they didnt have CCTV at that section when asked.

There is a lot of expensive stuff inside. At the moment there showing gothic medieval stuff, with crown jewels and crap like that.

Plus we looked around for any cameras before we went further. Hidden cameras were nowhere to be found and we're usualy good at spotting them. We're used to doing those kind of things anyway and we've never been caught but this time it was a bit too much for us.
