Hip hop gets a bad rap, so to speak. popular opinion is that any rap crew from LA is guarantees to be some bad-assed gangasta gang, as likely to pop a cap in yo ass as look at you.
Flying in the face of that is a small minority of socially conscious rappers, from Arrested Development to Micharl Franti and, now, the Black Eyed Peas. 💃 💃 💃 💃

Oh. And The Dead Prezidents. They're nonviolent to. In a violent sort of way.
And Black Eyed Peas is more of a Pop/R&B collective than a rap group. I say this for the sole purpose that I do not find them appealing.
