👆 great complex music..progessive metal rocks!!

I made some song's based on them. I think there awesome.

I've heard of them and heard few songs. They are good, but too hard for my nerves. 😉

I new there'd be a thread about them somewhere...

Yeah definitely one of the best metal bands around today. I'd place them on a par with In Flames and Avenged Sevenfold, and their far better than Children Of Bodom (who they're commonly compared to). Orchid, Morningrise and Blackwater Park are thrilling, almost spiritual records, and I love the way they drift between extremely heavy and light and spacey. In The Mist She Was Standing and Face Of Melinda are my fave Opeth songs, but pretty much everything they've done is awesome.

Ok scratch that, they're better than In Flames and Aveneged Sevenfold. Orchid is...beyond words. I get something new from it everytime I listen to it. It'll never get old.

^You're right Orchid is definitely a timeless piece.

I as many others was greatly impressed with Opeth but I know some people who used to play Black Rose Immortal way too much and it put me off for a while 😖 However, I think it's about time I got out the old Blackwater Park again 🙂

I play Opeth's first three albums almost constantly at the moment, and no matter how many times I hear them, they never get boring in the slightest. It would take a miracle to put me off Opeth. God they're brilliant...

I need to go listen to Orchid again. It's becoming an addiction 🙁

children of bodom are the best and way better than opeth and in flames in my opinion

😑 No way! Children Of Bodom are ok, but they're nothing compared to In Flames, and less than nothing compared to Opeth.
