Alex drove to a psyhologists ((what's it called... where they werk imean.)) and entered the building. He sat on the couch and then was prompted to the front desk. "What atre you her for?" asked a clerk. "I'm here to see someone about a job." The clerk went behind a wall and returnde with a clipboard. "Fill out the form..."
Angelina found a restaurant that was looking for a couple of waitresses. It was a diner down the street so she decided to walk. She walked into the busy restaurant and walked up to the counter. "Hi." She smiled warmly. "I'm here for the waitress position." The waitress she was speaking to looked at her a little skeptically. She was about forty five years old with greying hair and a little pudgy. "This isn't Hooters hunny."
Angelina's smile quickly faded. She couldnt believe she was just insulted. "Can I please talk to who's in charge about the job."
The woman sighed. "Take a seat, I'll see if he's busy."
Alex finished the form. "Ma'am, im finsished." he handed over the clipboard. The woman looked him up and down and smiled satisfied. "You uh-" Alex raised his hand and falshed the fake wedding ring he ahd bought after the engangement. "Sorry." The woman nodded. "Go down the hall, door on your left.' Alex smiled and followed her directions to the Manager's office.
Angelina sat there, watching the other waitresses work. She wasn't sure if she could do this and began to get nervous. When she was about to get up and walk out a man in his thirties came out and greeted her with a smile. "Hi, I'm Peter O'Brian. You're the girl who's interested in the position open?"
She nodded, returning his smile. "Are you the owner?"
"No, I'm his son, but I take care of the applicants. Come on back and I'll check you out."
She looked at him a little awkwardly.
"Your qualifications." He assured her, noticing how wrong what he said sounded.
Alex walked into the office and sat into the chair. A woman, a very beautifal woman, at in he cahiracross th chair frm him. She was in her twenties. "Mmmmm... you're good looking, maybe ill check you out." she smiled seductivly. Again he raised his hand and flashed the ring. The woman smiled. "Does it matter? I'm here for your qualifications anyway. You seemto be a newbie t the job." Alex looked at the sign in front of him. "Your last name is Dumbass?" "ITS DEW-MASS!"
Angelina sat down in the back and glanced around as Mr. O'Brian gathered the appropriate papers. He then sat down across from her.
"So, what are your qualifications?"
She hesitated. "Actually, I've never had a job before."
"Never?"
She shook her head 'no'. "I know that's wierd, but I'm really determined to learn."
He glanced over the papers even though he was really thinking to himself. The silence made her feel awkward. Finally he looked up. "We usually don't hire girls who don't have any experience."
"Please Mr. O'Brian." She reached across the table and placed her hand on his. She didn't mean it sexually, she didn't even notice she did it until it was too late. She retracted her hand to her side of the table. "I need this job." She told him desperately.
It seemed like five minutes before he answered. "Alright, you begin training tomorrow." He stood up to shake her hand and she hugged him.
"Thank you."
He blushed brightly. She pulled away from the hug still smiling. "Thank you so much."
He escorted her out out the diner.
A few minues fo technical talk went on. "So uh, what do you think?" Alex was bright with hapiness, he was sure he ahd bagged this job. "Okay... okay I think that you'll be getting a call." she smied her pearly white teeth and bright red lip gloss smile at her. "HE walkendout of the room and finally the pyscitrist's, then went back to the Hotel.
