Jason Issacs is brilliant, his portrayal as the evil William Tavington in the Patriot is probably his career best, he's also brilliant in Event Horizon, Black Hawk Down and even gave the atrocity that was the Tuxedo some class his earlier role in Divorcing Jack was also pretty good as too was his portrayal as Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter : atCoS.
Jason is a brilliant actor. His ability to bring forth the evilness of a character is outstanding. The one unfortuante thing however, is...that he is extremely handsome which makes not liking his character's difficult. I for one found myself ruiting for the British in the Patriot, only because of him. As for the second HP, (which I am a huge fan of the books and movies, (even at my age)), when you give a small gasp at the site of Jason when he first enters the scene at the book shop and your 11 year old son's tells you it's ok the bad guy always get's it in the end. All I wanted to say was "it's not that he is the bad guy, it's a matter of him looking so devilishly handsome in that blonde wig", that you want to stare at him all day.
It is a shame that Cuaron did not use him in the upcoming film, even though the character Lucius appear in the 3rd book. I can only hope that Newell will be a better director and make sure that Lucius appears in the 4th movie. In all honestly, it would not be a very good movie without him, considering that Lucius is the most prestigious death eater and they, the death eaters play a significant part in that book.
