Most disturbing moment in a movie?

Started by mardook23 pages

In The Grey Zone there is a scene where the female concentration camp women are lined up for questioning by the NAZIS... during a heated moment, one of the two girls who are part of a plot to uprise against the camp guard runs off into an electrified fence. Very sad and disturbing... the whole movie was very disturbing.

There is this French movie called Inside... gruesome movie. Pissed me right off as it was somewhat silly in some instances.

Yeah, Inside had some very disturbing moments. I found the final scene
Spoiler:
with the murderess rocking the baby
to be the most disturbing though, despite it being not as gory. I'll agree that some parts were over the top and silly though.

All sex scenes in Kids.

The ass to ass scene in Requiem for a Dream

Rape scene in Irréversible

Then there are some movies I couldn't finish watching because they were so disturbing, like Saló: 120 Days of Sodom or Cannibal Holocaust etc.

Midnight Cowboy.

Spoiler:
When the geeky guy in the theater sucks off Jon Voight.

Also, the Shining.

Spoiler:
When Shelly Duvall sees Yogi Bear sucking off the old man in the tuxedo.

I know most people hate it but i thought the Blairwitch project had some disturbing moments. Hearing their friend screaming for help after the girl had found his tongue and part of his jaw. The ending of that movie also stayed with me. When whats her name ran into the basement and saw her friend standing in the corner like the stories they heard earlier took me off guard.

Well, since I pretty much pride myself on going out of my way to see the most horrific, disturbing and painful films ever, My list will probably be strange to most of you, since the majority of the titles I list are not mainstreem. But you can rest assured these scenes i list are far worse then anything else out there.

Irriversible - The 13 minute rape scene, shot in one single shot, never cutting, truley disgusting, disturbing and heartbreaking, the way rape should be pertraid. Also the beginning is equally mind bending.

Cannibal Holocaust - This film has several infamouse scenes that are known as some of the most horrific moments ever, the animal deaths, the rape scene, the castration...all are worth mentioning, so that's why I mentiond all of them..

I Spit on your Grave - This is another one that has numerous scenes, the castration scene is truley nausiating...and the rape scene, although a bit over the top, is disgusting none the less.

Henry - Portrait of a Serial Killer - The whole film is very disturbing, but one scene stands out, the video tape they make of themselves murdering a family....chilling..

Kids - The whole film

Zombie - The eye splinter scene

Requiem for a Dream - the heartbreaking ending...that haunts you for days.

Sweet Hereafter - The bus crash

Man Bites Dog

Happiness- The conversation between Dr. Maplewood (pedafile) and his son when the son finds out his dad has raped several children

Those are all the best of the worst, other notables are Last House on the Left, American History X, and The Shining.

Pretty much noted all of my disturbing film moments as well here.

Even though they aren't disturbing, I would like to note the shooting of the youngest brother in Four Brothers was messed up imo, as well as the maternity scene in AVP: R.

I agree. I think that people who thought the Blair Witch Project was "Gay" "Boring" or "Not Scary" are not used to using their imaginations. The fact that they were all alone in the woods with god-knows what hunting them was really scary. The scene where their one buddy was screaming in the night and they were trying to find him was pretty scary/disturbing to me, I can only imagine how many times I'd shit my pants if I was in their situation.

Absolutely.

I was lucky enough to have seen a pirate of that back before it was commonly known as a hoax. (I had no internetz back then, you see.)

Weirded me out a little that night, watching it on my own in the dark at 2am.

Just the noises and the fact that someone had been close enough to them while they slept to place them stickmen.

Then when the unseen witch thing that made pignoises blended with the voices of giggling children who would have had NO business being out the woods at night attacked the tent, that was some brown trouser.

The way it ended was nice and f***ed too.

Then when I clocked later on that it was just a movie, I enjoyed the movie still, butt not as much.

How the hell did nobody mention the 'funny how?' scene from Goodfellas? That scene where Tommy is causing havoc in the restaurant while his mob pals are laughing uproariously is flat-out horrifying.

"Deliverance" had some of the most disturbing moments I've ever seen in film.

Recently I saw one of the most disturbing scenes I've seen in awhile.
The movie as a whole is very disturbing and sad, "Mysterious Skin" is the name of the movie.

Disturbing parts:

Spoiler:
When the sick pervert coach makes the two children fist him in his ass.
Spoiler:
When Neil is getting beaten (with a shampoo bottle) in the face, while being ass-raped..

Very good movie nonethless, it realistically shows how child molestation ruins lives.

Not the worst by far, but John Waters' 'Pink Flamingo', has a guy opening and closing his butthole on a stage.

That and a fat tranny (Devine) eats dog shit.

Yeah, I was eating when the second part you described happened.

There was a movie I saw once with LL Cool J, he was raping a guy anally with a pool cue.

Definitely the ending and revelation in the movie Oldboy. I was never disturbed by anything as much as I was by that

Oldboy's brilliant.

It is it had me thinking for days afterwards. Really messed with my head

Why, have you ever ****ed a man old enough to be your biological father in the past?

Blair Witch - A bunch of noise outside the tent sounding like children and the tent getting all russled. Creepy.

Hostel II - Some chick with a scythe beheaded this woman and a group of kids were using that head as a soccer ball (what the ****?).

Freddy vs. Jason - Why the heck was Freddy a pot smoking worm?

The Grudge - The whole movie.

Meet the Spartans - I really don't want to get into the details.

I found the 'Bathory' scene in Hostel II disturbing compared to that part you mentioned. Didn't help that the nicest character to appear in the Hostel movies was the one who went through it.
