Nationality: British (born in CairoGwen was born in Cairo, Egypt to parents Christopher, an archaeologist and Egyptologist and his wife Maggie. The Holmes family, being fairly wealthy, was able to provide Gwen with a formal education in London, while spending summers in Egypt, a country which the girl grew a great bond with because of her father’s career and extensive interest there. Gwen also gained a greater understanding of less academic pursuits, such as fencing and archeology, from her father, with whom she became very close. At the age of 13, her mutant powers began to surface, with Gwen frequently experiencing moments of clairvoyance. At first it began as mere moments before the event took place and when she discussed it with her parents, they dismissed it as déjà vu. But as she grew into her teens, she began seeing things that she would have no possible way of knowing, such as her inadvertent rescue of several miners working on her father’s expedition. These events could no longer be ignored. When she was 17, she predicted the outbreak of an epidemic, but it was too late for her to do anything to prevent it, only seeing it come mere hours before her parents were infected on a trip to a small desert village. They both passed away shortly after, leaving Gwen a young orphan, with a considerably large inheritance, but very much alone. Quite unexpectedly, a man by the name of Charles Xavier intercepted the young girl before she was able to return to London, offering her a chance to harness her power in order to live a productive life in society. Vowing to never again be caught powerless against her visions, she agreed to join the school, and not long after her “graduation,” she requested to join his elite team of X-men who fought for the good of humanity and mutant-kind alike. Xavier suggested an alternative, to continue his work overseas, allowing her to return to Europe to help lost mutants like her gain control of their powers. She agreed and began a second “School for the Gifted” in Italy with the help of fellow student Quinton Arthur, though this institution was on a much smaller scale than the original. She currently resides there and frequently makes trips to both Cairo and her family flat in London, which she still has ownership of.

Bio: Hailed as a prodigy at age ten, Arthur Quinton enjoyed a kind of local celebrity in his hometown of Fairbourne, Wales, and later, the whole of the United Kingdom. His innate ability to learn skills at a superhuman efficiency served the boy very well, allowing him to become a master of seven languages, fourteen combat techniques, and a teenage chess player at the grandmaster level. He was praised by many, but feared by more. From outsiders to Fairbourne down to even his most intimate childhood friends, some treated him like a freak. Feeling rejected by his loved ones, Arthur quickly agreed to joined “Xavier’s school for Gifted” when the man approached him at 14.
