Shane was born in Rochester, Minnesota to parents James (Jim), owner of a building company, and Francie McGovern, one of the top ten realtors in their town. Shane grew up in a fairly wealthy family, leaving him with lots of opportunities. At the age of 12, his mutations began to flourish. His first power that he received was Telekinetic. The first encounter was when Shane was sleeping one night and all of his furniture moved tight against one wall in his room. But as he grew into his later years, he would start to hear things. At first it was completely out of the blue and he would hear a couple words at most. And soon after he began to hear things whenever he wanted, and he could tell people things even later on. His healing wasn’t discovered for a long time until his family and himself was caught in a tornado and a picture flew across the room off the wall and cut him from the left side of his back to the other side at an angle going down. That very same day when Shane was cleaning up his house he was lifting a dresser in his room and when he was trying to push it back up on it’s legs, he pushed himself threw the floor and right into the garage. When Shane was 15 a scientist named Hank McCoy ‘discovered’ him. Hank told, or rather called Mrs. and Mr. McGovern and told them that their son was excepted into a school for ‘Gifted Youngsters’. His parents made the ruff decision and sent Shane off to a new Prep School in up state New York. Shane then attended the ‘Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters’. A few years later when Shane was 18 he ran away from the school and joined a gang of Mutants that thought they would never be excepted into the world, and no one, not even a mutant such as Charles Xavier could really understand them. He soon got a tattoo of a bar code on the back of his neck, a symbol that everyone had tattooed on the back of their necks in the gang. A few more months later a Scientist kidnapped, or more attacked the gang. Only two got away, including Shane, the rest were never seen or heard from again. And then Shane returned to the school seeking his old life. Ever since Shane has returned in to the school, he kept secrets and made lies about when he was gone from the school. Leaving no one to know but himself.
