Since the suit is made up of energy it can not be affected by magnetism.

Powers: Oblivion is the ultimate paradox, a creature who exists without existing at all. It has no physical or energy form, there is no matter or antimatter in its body. It has no mental or spectral energy. It does not show up on any scan, even space and time are not present in it. By the laws of the universe it is not there, it does not exist, yet somehow, someway it is does. Oblivion is far beyond the power of anything we understand. Even the Living Tribunal can not stand against him. It is not held by the laws of Physics and can do what ever it pleases, including the destruction of matter and energy something long thought to be impossible.
History: No one can agree on Oblivion's origin. Some hold that it is a creature from before the beginning of existence, others believe it to be the next step up from the Beyonder, a single creature that is a Multiverse in itself. Whatever it is many have attacked it through fear and hatred. All have failed, eventually when it became apparant that it could not be destroyed or contained the Tribunal asked what Oblivion wanted. Its answer was simply to learn. With only this answer to go on the Tribunal grudgingly agreed to leave Oblivion to its devices. Recently Oblivion has taken an interest in the X-Men, more specifically Nightcrawler, and while the two are not exactly friends they have a companionship that lead Oblivion to imbue Kurt with the full power of the Dark Force Dimension he is connected to so he could help in Oblivion's studies. michael is more or less like uhmm shoot what's his name, the old school x-man villain that could take the powers of whoever he was near, a side effect is he would turn a little bit like them, i.e. psyche and physical appearances. uhmm dang can't remember his name, but he took all the original x-men's power and was killed off. he came back as a more handsome version of himself in exiles instead of taking the phsyical appearance of the x-men he had absorbed..
