i have no idea of how well Xbox is selling in the US... down here (south america) is not so good, most ppl buy PS2, most of the GC owners are kids under 12.
Xbox could turn the sells around (sony did it, when nintendo thought they were untouchable), i just don't know (i hope not) for sure

many of you hate it when a so called FANBOY comes saying that xbox sucks and PS2 or GC is better, and then y'all start rippin' those guys appart saying (again) that xbox is best console out there... why don't you just admit that YOU ARE FANBOYS as well...or is it that only those who like PS2 or GC are fanboys, and Xbox FANS are not fanboys?

This should be in the "fanboys" thread. But anyways, everytime someone is talking about games for both systems a so-called "fanboy" starts to say "Xbox version sucks". Or they say "the Xbox controls are too big" (poor kiddies) and then the conversation gets derailed. So you see is not about defending X-box is about discussing a game. But can you have a discussion with someone that keeps repeating "Xbox sucks"? I don't think so.
obviously PS2 has better games than xbox....hopefully you realize xbox has been out 1 year less than PS2. PS2 lacks in other areas like high speed internet connections, a downloadable harddrive, and 4 controller ports. I bought my xbox taking the chance that microsoft wouldn't screw up the games.....and so far they haven't. 2004 will be better than 2003, just like 2003 was better than 2002.
My big gripe is why does everyone say gamecube games are so great? i have a gamecube and other than a handful of titles.....gamecube sucks. Gamecube has what? Zelda, smash bros., resident evil, metriod prime, and what else that makes its games SOOOOOOO far superior to the games on xbox?
Graphically neither gamecube or PS2 can compare to xbox...

Let me clear up what a Fanboy is and what a Gamer is. A Fanboy buys one system because of past experience with that company. Which there's nothing wrong with. Where the folly comes into play is when that person slams other systems and don't give them a chance. A Gamer plays games no matter where.
When I say I enjoy the X-Box over the PS2 or GameCube I'm not speaking from stats. or what each system can do, I'm speaking from experience. I own all the good GameCube games like Zelda, Metroid, the Rouge Squadrons, Resident Evils, which are all good game, but most of these games don't cover all the areas of a good game: story, game-play, length, and so on. I own most of the good PS2 games Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid SOL (went to the X) Grand Turismo 3 (not a racing fan) GTA 3, VC ( my sister got them for her X-Box which they're better on) and a bunch of other games that haven't earned mentioning. (Actually I don't own any of these anymore, they were all stolen) I own all the good X-Box games Splinter Cell, Morrowind GOTYE, Halo, Steel Battalion, RainbowSix 3, Ghost Recon (Both),The Jedi Knight series, and the new Spawn (I'm a Spawn fan so I loved it, but it wasn't to great) All of the games I have mentioned are great games from each system so then it boils down to the shared games and being an owner of the 3 systems I can say most shared games are noticably better on the X-Box.
I never said I wouldn't play the F U C K I N G system, I just said it sucks beyond all reason. I said my FAV was GC, not that it was the only system I'll play, I've played EVERY system out to date including Virtual Boy (nintendo). Not many people have heard of that name, and I've even played other systems that aren't even out in America yet (my friend imports), so don't go there. Metriod Prime is a Masterpice, so don't say it has no storyline, I personally think they shoud've kept it sidescroller instead of 1st person, but its their game, so it doesn't really matter. I was only pissed because you sit there and call yourself a gamer, when you probably haven't played EVERY system out to date, including ones you have probably never heard of. Ive done more in my lifetime with video games than most people would think. PS2 is great, better than the Xbox, but not as good as the GC. Im a true gamer, ask DaRk Lotus and TrAnCeDuO. They'll tell you that's all I do if I get the chance. Well, obviously, if a system's "handful" of good titles are taken away, of course its gonna suck! Duh! GC has more than a "handful" of good titles, because the titles that are on it are on most of the other systems. If the games are sooooo good on the other systems, then why did they make them for the GC instead of keeping them system exclusives and making people buy the system to be able to play the game? I'll tell you, because then people don't have to own 3 or 4 different systems to play the games they like, they can buy for the system they own. If you have noticed, the most recent Final Fantasy is a GC exclusive, Christal Chronicals, and its the first Final Fantasy that is multiplayer. Let me guess, people say it is gonna suck because it is on the GC. Too bad, cry me a river.
Wow dude you need to settle down. Nobody is calling you anything, in fact only the part that says "Draco>" was exclusively for you. Yeah Metriod Prime was a good game I never said it wasn't. The whole fanboy and gamer stuff was for everybody. I don't know why you say I haven't played every system, I mean I haven't, but it just isn't something that has anything to do with anything. This whole conversation with you has now gone beyond anything that matters, because you either read to fast or you just aren't good at reading, either way you mis-read everything I post.

And i highly doubt you've played EVERY system out there are systems that pretty much none of us have heard of (i don't know of them thats for sure) but if you go to www.gamefaqs.com and click SYSTEMS on the left side...i'm sure you'll realize that you haven't played half of them. And Crystal Chronicles will be a good game regardless of what system it comes out on. I've looked into it a lot because i'm going to buy it, i will say that it looks pretty childish...but that doesn't mean i won't buy it and enjoy it. And it's not just the systems that you HAVE played, but the fact that you are WILLING to play any system.....that's what makes you a gamer

well, i posted here, cuz here its where the whole fanboy "thing" began (i mean the recent one). i know that a fanboy can be annoyin, i consider myself a PS2 fanboy, but i've played with the other consoles, and i admit that the other ones have great games, or they're better looking then the PS2 versions, it just so happen that i prefer PS2.
what i meant was that when some GC or PS2 fanboy talks trash about Xbox, some of you defend the console, but never consider themselves fanboys, maybe because Xbox is the first Microsoft console or for other some other reason, i don't know.
it seems unfair (to me at least) that everyone who doesn't like Xbox, gets called a fanboy, and not the other way around. like i said, there's some ppl (annoying as hell) that'll never listen to reasons other than theirs, but not everybody is like that.
i think is all about the game: if it's good, i'll play it regardless of which console i play it
people who say xbox sucks are fanboys. If they say "it's not my fav system" or "it's not as good as other systems" then thats ok. But to say that xbox sucks just shows ignorance because xbox doesn't suck. It kicks ass...just like PS2 and gamecube kick ass. And if you don't wanna agree that's ok....just go plug in your nintendo and come to the realization that gamings come a long way...and now a days nintendo and SNES suck. (i know their games rule, but the systems suck....cartridges)
or if you wanna say that a system sucks....rip on the Phantom or ApeXtreme because those systems are really going to suck. I hear the Phantom so far only has agreements with learning progz. Don't get me wrong...i love reader rabbit and oregon trail (u lost 1 ox) LoL
