SAM! Why is he not listed in the poll type thing? I love him! He's the most beautiful character ever! He's the most kind and caring person ever created, you want proof just look at his lovely speech at the end of TTT (see Undomiel's post). I want to marry him!

P.S. Smeagol & Boromir are cool too, I like tragic heroes!

I think Eowyn's the best (that's obvious), but I love Aragorn too, and Legolas.

I don't know why people hate Eowyn so much. What has she ever done to deserve it? Granted, I don't like her portrayal much in TT, but she's a cool, kick-butt character.

ian mcKellen is awsome!! i wished he did accept the part for harry potter ...:,( he would've been good for dumbledore, but he didnt wanna play the same part over again..wise wizard..blah blah (RIP richard harris)

i'm kindof glad he didn't accept the role of dumbledore in HP... like here he is in LOTR this high and mighty, evil fighting wizard.. going school headmaster... just wouldn't make much sense... eveytime i see a movie with a wizard in it i'll always compare them to gandalf

lol i think 2 years in LOTR was enough for Mckellan to be in a wig, long coat, stuck on beard and pointy hats.

to be in Harry potter for the many more yrs would have been too much and besides he is TOOO great an actor to be known only as a wizard
