Favorite LOTR character? and why? [merged]

well, the movie would hav been even longer if they had shown Eowyn's marriage but at least they showed her and Faramir 2gether. I wuz so happy 4 the both of them!!
My fave characters (i cant choose)-- Aragorn, Legolas (notice Legolas after Aragorn, i mite hav 2 change my name 😄) Gandalf, Pippin, Eowyn.

Personally the Witch King of Angmar or Lord of the Nazgúl is my favourite lotr character. For one he is a powerful being; neither living nor dead. he is skilled with the blade and a powerful sorceror as well. He is certainly not as powerful as Gandalf (since he is in fact an immortal maiar spirit), but his sorcery is certainly some of the best in middle earth and was taught by Sauron himself.
However, if you talk about everything middle earth, then Valar Melkor is my fav definitely. For those who dont know him, he was the first Dark lord; a much more powerful being than Sauron. A Valar Spirit of the undying lands who was not a servant of darkness, but the darkness itself. During the first age he slaughtered Eru's favourite children (elves) and tortured them in his massive fortress of Angband. Thus they emerged as orcs. However, Melkor's reign ended when the Valar intervened and chained him. Thus he was sent to the void.

aragon is deffaintly my favorite. I was pleased with his character development. It was one of the only characters i thought that actually evolved in the film. he was a hero's hero. yeah the elf chick might be my favorite instead. i mean liv tyler deffaintly plays a damn fine elf chick. GOD waiting to look at her is worth spending three hours. liv tyler came along way from the fat broad she ounce was LOL

I voted for Sam because of Sean's Astin's excellent portrayal in RotK. Sam's actions caused me to go teary-eye.

than Legolas I don't know whats soo great about him ya hes cute (in real life not in the movie) but he doesn't act all he does is shoot arrows...if you want real acting than chose somebody like Sam (sean Astin) he was the best actor!
