Let me start by saying I absolutely loved this series and was thoroughly heartbroken when they cancelled it. I had been keeping my hopes up that they would one day continue it with all new adventures, and keep the same voice actors, but that dream is pretty much dead now.Anyway, I'm a proud owner of the entire set on DVD and it's one of my most prized possessions.
With that in mind, I'd like to talk about my top five favourite episodes...which are:
5. Phalanx Covenant (1 + 2)
- Favourite part was when Beast and Forge ran out of the diner and Mr. Sinister came to their aid by blasting a Dr. Doom-esque gauntlet blast at the Phalanx clones. Just loved the overall tension throughout.4. Obsession
- You could feel Warren Worthington's pain and torment throughout the whole episode and his frustrations as he was pretty much laughed off by Apocalypse. Good depiction of Apocalypse...I rag on him a lot, but he was outstanding in this episode. Interesting how vulnerable he was to the Celestial technology.3. The Final Decision
- I loved seeing the pain and anger in Magneto when he was ready to kill Senator Kelly, some great dialogue there...a classic moment. A great effort by the team, with the aid of Magneto, against the Sentinels and Master Mold. What a way to end the first season.2. Time Fugitives - Part 2
- The scene with Cable and Wolverine was especially pleasing when they were ready to fight and Logan goes to Cable, "one-on-one, you and me pal". An excellent moment. Not to mention Jean's utter shock, when she learns the identity of Cable.1. Dark Phoenix - Part 3
- Loved the scene in Central Park where Jean expands the Phoenix Force which catches the attention of Marvel superheavyweights Dr. Strange, Thor, and the Watcher. The thought of them intervening sent chills up and down my spine! In the next scene they even showed Eternity...just to give you a scope of the Phoenix's power! A memorable episode.Again, I loved this series with every fibre of my being, and would never give it up for the world!
where the hell did you get the dvd's from.
i remeber that series i seen every episode. i liked the first episode with juggernaut he keeps robbing banks and destroyin stuff and the cops think its colosuss so they arrwet him the x men break colocuss outa jail and they all fight jugernaut.
jean uses psychic powers on him after the rest of them get his helmet off.
GOOD NEW EVERYONE!!! Pardon me I was not patient enough to read all the posts but they still show the 90's X Men series every night even weekends on Toon Disney at 11 pm Eastern time. Some times they show two episodes. There are most definatly collector's boxed DVD sets you can buy with all 77 episodes online, I'll get the address and let you know. I've also seen a web site that describes every episode. Magneto does not strip Wolverine's skeleton, Rogue and Gambit kiss, there are Pheonix episodes, it's good. The boxed set is only $40 much, much cheaper than buying the individual VHS movies. I found all this by searching 'x men animated' and I personally do not like the Evolution series, why does Rogue look dead? I just don't like it. The 90's is very good and very much like the comic. Too bad all good things must come to an end.
