you are right on the first quote. it was said by messenger, an ex-angel, the guy is also on some cop show. the second one is from an old jack nicholson movie. if that helps. the movie was based on a play/book.

nope. it's a movie based on a comic book, came out 1997, i think. interesting movie. comic is a little dark, bloody, and gory. but compelled to read more of it. whoever guessed x2 for my first quote is right.
