the newest edition to my poems is "eternal struggle". i have just wrote it at the spur of the moment and just a few seconds ago. this one was based on how i kind of felt today. also, to make it more general and not so focued upon me alone, i made the grief topic more general. i know the lines sound depressing, in all honesty, i'm not depressed to that level. i just felt crappy today. lack of sleep and getting a little cranky. just had to get it out in words. half way through the poem, i played off the lyrics from a fave song of mine. "maybe tomorrow" by stereophonics. they are a great band and have such wonderful and peaceful songs that i've ever heard. i'll soon post the link to the music video for you all to see. ^.^
here's my second song that i wrote during a long fifth period on tuesday with nothing better to do than write this out. it's a bit rough, esp. the last minute last couple of verses. i may need to make changes to that part or make the song longer in the future, but for now, i'll let you guys have a peek at it before i decide to send it to fictionpress.com.

A habit that is beginning to feel like a damn disease

What little joy that I have is thrown aside
Aside to be temporarily forgotten

i imagine the song to be sung very dramatically and have loud background music. plus, maybe three days grace, finger eleven, or nickelback could sing this possibly. maybe even fuel? nuff said!
A Weary Soul
Upon this land, it rained for miles
Miles that this weary soul could not bear
Bear to leave such a lush and familiar home
A home to where the heart has lingered

No matter how hard they try to savor it

All hope nearly lost and with love guarded

gosh, sorry about that. it's been so long since i joined ff.net, so i can't remember how to do that part. as for the activation e-mail, maybe the site doesn't accept what your addie is from or you just need to wait until the registeration data sinks in and gets accepted by the site. maybe it works like when authors upload new content to stories and stuff, it takes 24 hours to show up on site for others to view and read.

Damned To Feel
long nights of weary soul searching spent
finding reason to the clouds and wind
to clear a way in the sky to an open mind
the attempt to achieve a peace of mind
searching for ways to find that rainbow smile
to find a sun that won't set upon a perfect day
where the sky is clear and feeling free
no more whinding roads to overwhelm the mind
no more hot days that can break the will
no longer necessary to crawl to the pillar
to breath in the fresh air and let all be well
storms of the damned fading away to nothing more
presssure of gravity no longer a concept to concern
consequences at a high price go to the insane
midguided ones with their fortune faded
support for their limbs become fragile
the desire to find the next best thing
the great journey to the treasure
to seek more of the golden life
so rare a find to those whom struggle
everlasting attempts to survive within' an unkind world
for that we must suffer to earn
life is not easy nor is it compassionate to all
we are all damned to feel such pain and crulety
for the golden sunrise never smiles for us anymore
we are the sinners and to that our fate is
all must walk the path and bear it
there's a difference between knowing the path
as to walking the path
everyone has a unique way of grinning to bear it
