really? my "mortal love" poem was that good? wow...and to think that i thought it came out crappy. also, i needed a great way to express and explain my synopsis to my van helsing story, so "a love for all seasons" covers it quite beautifully. i'm very proud of that poem, one of my best since "forever in the dark". 😄 i'll most likely include that poem in my story. as a lil lead in. yea!
i'm not sure if i'll use some of the lines from the poem within' the story or as title for chapters....hmm...*shrugs* anyways, i found out earlier that there's a christina aguilera song called "love for all seasons". i just happened to look it up on my copy of her first cd when i was trying to make a list of songs that i could use for my van helsing story. as background music and/or songfic chappie.
This poem is a sequel to "Forever in the Dark"
Under Lock and Key
in denial of the truth before him
never wanting others to see beyond the cold mask of a killer
so much dignity and pride to burden
an egnima amongst society
much desire to be left alone in peace
but never taking much joy in being a lone wolf
to why he had to lead a life where he kept everyone at arm's length
he'll never know but will regret it dearly
in his youth, peers were most unkind
scorn him for what he was
different from the rest and having such a strong sense of purpose
sense of already knowing of what and who he was to become
no one able and ready to understand him
defenses held strong in his mind and aura
never to let anyone get past the barriors
get to the side of him that he wasn't proud of
over time of such a strong ego
made him hard and cold to the world around him
being quite aware of the darkness in mans' heart
their true nature yet to be unleashed upon the earth
coming to an understanding that keeping the balance was vitle
between peace and what society could not obtain themselves
to assign himself to such a duty
another sense of his purpose in life
placing his dark view and calibur into this goal
serving out what he believes is right
no matter if it involved pain, torture, and murder
let his skills as an agent to guide
and his gun to do the talking for him
so many faults within' our society
many sins to correct
so little time to get to them all
to be disgusted by the many flaws in this world and man
much disappointment in himself also
a never ending battle to right
determined to never give up
he prefers to lone his lifetime quest
never finds partnership of any use
only to be a burden and a great annoyance
drag him down in the process
can't get anything done the way he wants
not like there's many who would lend him aide and heed
perfect and all the better to his soul
the owner of a lonely heart
to wander forever in the dark
with pride and beliefs to show him the way
the key to his survival and longtivity within' a harsh world
unrelenting denial of the truth well under wraps
under lock and key
The Golden Skies
the sun's warmth burns the flesh like fire
fire of one not meant to see the light of day again
to bask in its glory and joy
oh, how one misses the simplicities of nature and awareness
to never feel alone and always be at ease
does the cheery day bring during its reign
the phases of the inferno orb fascinate the sky reflecting it
a dark immortal denied the sights of its aura
the gold and collages that smear the heavens with wonder
makes one wonder if they are better seen from above
below does not seem all that much better
when a summer's breeze can no longer reach the soul
the earth and shadows seem so barren and cold
during the darkest nights of this cursed life
to wonder for eternity of what the sun is like
to feel what a day and rise is like without worry
oh, how one can miss these sort of days full of such beauty
and of much promise to forthcome
no immortal of the damned can stand
but this one loves to remember
but sadly can only watch and remember from afar
A Semi-Sequel to "A Love For All Seasons"
To Fly or Die
the rose is gone
summer is to forever grieve
everything in nature
just seems like a constant reminder
the sky enveloped by shadow and stormy clouds
clouds filled with so much pain
pain in the form of water
and days of neverending rain
spring brings forth the flora and fona once more
offering it to summer
but the warmth seems to have vanished from summer's heat
the aura of nature no longer appeals
summer feel like it's dying on the inside
like the life around him when exposed to winter's presense
screaming to the heavens to be set free
to die or fly
to end a annual reign and be numbed of all emotion
to be damned to the firy bits of hell
than to suffer one more day of loss and misery
the desire to assend to the atmosphere
where summer knows that his rose is waiting for him
so, why must these cycles of seasons go on?
does mother nature indend him to grow so cold
to have no love behind his fate?
the longer summer remains on earth
without his rose is living torture
could make this season turn into autumn and perhapes winter
yes, winter seems to not take heed of the harsh hails from the skies
does summer dare to make a change
just so that one can feel?
becoming so dead on the inside and out
can be more than any mortal can bare
the quick elimination of summer sounds nice
spring can take over
to leave burdens behind
to then finally have a chance to rest in peace
reigning earth and nature for so long
tending to it's every whem is demanding
to just have one chance of letting it all go and fade away
summer desires to fade into nothingness and be no more
this great earth and life does not deserve this one
the heavens and rose are waiting
for the final desicion the season will take the plunge for
summer will soon return to his dear rose
to live happily ever after amongst the skies above
to vera and all whom are interested in this poem and the story that will soon be provided along with these two poems -

Oh Soda, I loved the sequel even more that the first! I loved the flora and fona incorporation too - nice come off! 😄Is it blank verse?
i called "to fly or die" a semi-sequel because it's post my van helsing fic but won't happen in the story until like after the movie sort of event. the story will explain this better for i don't want to spoil the story further just yet. lots of metaphors to add such a nice contrast to van helsing setting. 😎
😑 nani? blank verse? 😕 😆
leatherface12: sodapop allerdyce is my alias and my pen name at the fiction sites that i submit my work to. i love the names that i combined to make this one great pen name! 😱 sodapop is the name of a character that i based off and thought was most like me. sodapop curtis from s.e. hinton's famous novella "the outsiders". and allerdyce comes from the x-men movies. savvy? lol
