yep. the audience clapped when i saw my midnight showing too. pretty much thats the general reaction ive been hearing about the audiences reaction. T'is a good movie. Too bad its not getting the attention it deserves. Hopefully WB recognizes that although the media isnt liking it, movie fans are loving it.
No Katie Holmes for Batman Sequal

Theres some more about it at the IMDB link. Reading that sounds like Warner has their head on straight about this movie, like they feel the same way we do.
I actually didn't think she was bad at all. I thought she did a great job. It was nice to see a female character in a superhero film that doesn't fit the following stereotypes:
1. Pointless, just a plot device used to increase tension
2. Fragile girl that, when upset, can do things even the superhero can't, such as knock out the villain by slapping him or something - Thank you Spider-Man 2 for allowing that scene where Ock just tosses Mary Jane, proves that it'd be ridiculous for her to fight at all
3. Over dramatic rushed love story
I think her character was sort of his conscience in a way, and I'd like to see her show up again. If she doesn't, I dont' want any other love interests in this series besides Selina Kyle.
I thought it was hilarious! Me and my best mate kept on giving each other the giggles trying to imitate it!
I thought the Scarecrow was a well decent baddie, tho my bro reckons there should have been a big fat-off fight/show down btween Scarecrow and Batman, it was well pathetic when this psycho scary baddie got wasted by a taser...
