I think at some point in the sequels bootstrap bill should appear. he cant be dead becuz when they attached a cannon to bootstrap's bootstraps he wuz cursed. hence the reason they needed his blood.
and as far as casting someone as bootstrap bill ive got the perfect guy for the role. Mark Hamill! That would be perfect.
Think about this. Dashing young hero of the movie Will Turner. Who better to play his father then Luke Skywalker, another dashing young herol. Disney should look into this.

Okay, uh, I feel like I'm jumping on the bandwagon about five years too late, but hey, I'm here anyway!
Just to put in my two cents' worth, Jack Sparrow rocked, but second best had to be Barbossa. Will is great to look at, but his character wasn't as interesting.
It would be nice if Barbossa came back in the second one -- it could be Pirates of the Caribbean: Revenge of Barbossa with a tagline, 'He's back and he's not gonna take it anymore'. Pity that it would be far-fetched for him to come back - a bullet is pretty final!
Or they could make a new villain, who's obsessed with some other fruit... cumquats or something... "Cuuuumquat?"... hmm, maybe not...
