Bloom Thrilled About Pirates of the Caribbean Sequel Source: Teen Hollywood Saturday, January 3, 2004

Orlando Bloom tells Teen Hollywood that he is thrilled about filming Pirates of the Caribbean 2 because it will get him away from the nasty weather in his native Britain.

"I can't cope with short, cold days. In England it gets dark early, so I prefer summer," he says. "I'll be heading back to Caribbean to film with Johnny Depp soon, which is cool. I have no complaints about working in the Caribbean!"

"On the first film they took me out there early and I didn't start shooting my scenes for a while, so I felt like I was on holiday," adds Bloom.

Does this mean that filming has been moved up to 2004? USA Today recently reported that shooting on the sequel wouldn't begin until January, 2005 for a release date later that year.

yeh i agree with bloomi there its so cold and gets dark here quick... thats how it is most of the time lol... come on summer!!!! warmer days, and longer.. more time to chill!! 😄

I heard on another website that the casting call for the, i think, four 10-15 year old girls was false and the writers aren't thinking about adding anyone that age...rumors rumors rumors 😕

havent sum pepl sed that they r startin shootin this summer.....n some pepl hav sed next year at this time....i was thinkin mayb that sum1 got it mixed up and they r startin shootin in the summer...n its gona b releesed next year...the first one took less than a year to do...n that was including riting the story aswel....and this time they hav up until the summer to think of the story n then they hav until next year 2 do the movie...i hope im right....i dont want to hav to wait that long....
