EXT. CEMETERY, NEAR HILLCREST, CALIFORNIA- DAY
JOHN, MOLLY, and a small group of FRIENDS and FACULTY
gathered together with a MINISTER presiding over small memorial service

MINISTER
..and so, we commit the body of Keri Tate back unto the earth,
ashes to ashes, dust to dust..
May Thorn be with her throughout all of her trials,
and may the Wynn be kept at bay,
so her Spirit may truly Rest in Peace..

JOHN and MOLLY exchange confused glances at the MINISTER’S words

The receiving line procession leaving the memorial service

JOHN
What was all that stuff about Thorn?

MINISTER
You didn’t know?
Your mother bore the Mark of Thorn.
I assumed you were a member as well..
I altered the traditional service for the occasion;
We have become a very progressive state, you may know.
A place for everyone, and everyone in His place!

MOLLY
What IS the Thorn religion?

MINISTER
I am not fully schooled in that particular sect,
but, as I understand it, the Thorn are of the belief
that the soul is in a constant state of Chaos,
battling with itself over the cause of Good and Evil.
The Wynn, a sister sect, a sub-division if you will,
of the Thorn, is devout in the belief that the Evil
side should dominate the spirit..

I am unclear as to much more of the specifics, but I
assumed your mother would want to be laid to rest
under the watchful Eye of Thorn.

MINISTER motions to a MARKER near GRAVE; MARKER designated with SYMBOL OF THORN

JOHN nods weakly, still puzzled, but somewhat content

PAN BACK as JOHN and MOLLY depart CEMETERY

JOHN
I think I’ll go into town.
I need to find out more about
my Mom, that town, Haddonfield,
all of it.. I need to know.

MOLLY
Can’t we just leave it alone?
I thought we were getting past it?
Maybe—

JOHN
NO!
Detective Sturges was right!
I have to know the truth!
About my mother, about my uncle, about this,
this Thorn group, or cult, or Wynn, or whatever it is!
I have to know the whole truth!
It doesn’t make sense, all the pieces
just don’t fit yet!
I have to make some sense of all this,
or I’ll never really get past it!!

CLOSE ON MOLLY, sighing with resignation, while discreetly rubbing her stomach, moaning softly; she is obviously not feeling well, but hiding it

JOHN and MOLLY enter JOHN’S CAR, DEPART CEMETERY

First of all t's gonna be called Helloween (get it? HELLoween?)

Here is how the movie ends:
Michael has just killed some ppl and he is driving off when he sees a hockey-masked figure infront of his car he tired driving at it but the figure grabs the bumper and turns the car upside down Mike gets out and runs at the figure and stabs it in the neck. Jason grabs Mike's head and twists it backwards. Then he flips the car over, gets in and starts driving. Then we hear Freddy laughing and a razor-clawed hand grabs Jason's neck.
The end.

MOLLY slouching in front of mirror, over sink, sweating and gasping holding her stomach. She absently counts to herself, and smiles happily through the sickness

MOLLY rises, and turns sharply, heading from

MOLLY CRINGES in pain, clutching her stomach,
racing into BATHROOM

INT. DARK AND DINGY, WINDOWLESS HOME LIBRARY SOMEWHERE
Walls and tables littered with newspaper clippings and pictures of the history of MICHAEL MYERS. Filing cabinets and shelves filled with files, folders, binders, and books marked with various dates and labels all connected to MICHAEL MYERS stalkings and slayings over the years; a veritable library of MICHEAL MYERS history.

An OLDER MAN, gray-hair, scruffy stubble on his chin and cheeks (very reminiscent of DR LOOMIS, but not) sits behind a desk, hunched over and scouring pages of documents, looking for something

OLD MAN
Where are you?
AH! There you are!

MAN shuffles papers and pulls a folder marked with SYMBOLS of THORN/WYNN, opens, and begins reading intently.

INT. THORN LAIR RITUAL CHAMBER, HADDONFIELD
Cloaked, hooded initiates scramble about the chamber, chanting and pouring over manuscripts and maps. Finally, one individual approaches WYNN.

INITIATE
We have him, Master Wynn.
We have found him!

WYNN
Hmmm, curious..
Whatever it was that was distracting him,
must now be eliminated.
Summon our brothers in California.
We should contain him, for now.

The INITIATE nods, then turns and exits

WYNN
Now, for the child..

WYNN turns toward a huge map depicting Haddonfield and
surrounding communities, chants a few mystical words and makes some mystical gestures

EXT. HILLCREST DORMITORIES- DAY
MICHAEL MYERS storms from rear of exit of dormitory, robotically stalking into woods

MUSIC: THORN CULT CHANTING THEME
EXT. WOODED CLEARING- AWHILE LATER
MICHAEL met and surrounded by CULTISTS

CLOSE ON: MICHAEL’S HAND, as it curls into a tightly clenched fist

QUICK CUT: FLASHBACK: 1995, SMITH’S GROVE FACILITY
MICHAEL rampages against THORN CULTISTS at hospital

REVERT TO: WOODED CLEARING, PRESENT DAY
CULTISTS surround MICHAEL and approach cautiously, chanting
all the while A CULTIST steps up and slips MASK from
MICHAEL’S head

CLOSE ON: MICHAEL’S clenched fist, relaxing, opening, his body
slumping some

CULTISTS move to support MICHAEL, leading him from CLEARING

MASK-holding CULTIST examines MASK

PAN AND FOLLOW: CULTISTS leading MICHAEL from WOODS, into VAN
MICHAEL is docile and harmless, led into transport VAN

JOHN TATE returns to dorms

INT. JOHN and MOLLY’S APARTMENT
JOHN enters and moves swiftly into apartment, calling MOLLY
with anxious excitement

JOHN
Molly?
Baby, are you home?
Hope you’re all packed..

FOLLOW JOHN INTO BEDROOM
JOHN sees half-packed LUGGAGE on BED, and he smiles

JOHN
Sweetie?
We should get rolling,
before Sturges and Shears catch the scent!
HA!

FOLLOW JOHN APPROACHING BATHROOM
JOHN notices BATHROOM DOOR ajar

JOHN
Molly?
Are you OK?

CLOSE ON JOHN’S FACE, as he pushes open BATHROOM DOOR
excited smile twists into horrified scream

PAN FROM JOHN across BATHROOM, to MOLLY on TOILET, leaned
awkwardly against wall

MOLLY is motionless, BLOOD trails from her lip,
her EYES stare ahead in horror, her NECK bruised and distorted by strangulation force

BLOOD is also evident around TOILET SEAT, and trickling down TOILET BASE

JOHN GASPS and stumbles to MOLLY
MOLLY’S head lolls loosely as JOHN cradles her
in his arms

JOHN SOBS uncontrollably, holding and shaking
MOLLY tenderly

EXT. HILLCREST DORMS- AWHILE LATER
POLICE CARS, AMBULANCE, lights flashing, parked outside

INT. JOHN AND MOLLY’S APARTMENT
MOLLY’S BODY loaded onto gurney, wheeled from DORM
DETECTIVE STURGES and CAPTAIN SHEARS interrogate JOHN
JOHN holds tattered PICTURE from BROKEN FRAME

JOHN
(sobbing)
I don’t know!
I don’t know anything!
I found her like this!

STURGES
Did you two argue?
Did she disagree with you about this trip
you had planned?
Did she resist?

JOHN
NO!
She wanted to get away from all of this
as much as I did!

STURGES
Or, maybe she wanted to get away from YOU!
So, you strangled her!

JOHN
(crying)
NO!!

SHEARS steps in, leading STURGES back,
then stepping to JOHN

SHEARS
(hesitantly)
Did you know..
Molly was pregnant?

JOHN
(shocked)
What? NO!
I didn’t..

STURGES
(interrupting)
Did you fight over the baby’s
paternity? I’ve seen it
a thousand times!

SHEARS
Detective Sturges!
That’s enough!
Wait outside, detective!

SHEARS motions to other OFFICERS, who come to surround
STURGES and escort the detective from the premises
SHEARS turns back to JOHN, continuing the investigation

SHEARS
Preliminary reports age the fetus at
approximately 3 weeks.
A more thorough autops—uh, study of
the evidence will more closely determine the date
of conception as well as exact cause of death.

JOHN
What about me? And Detective Sturges?

SHEARS
I will try to keep Sturges at arms-length,
and keep this out of the press until we know more.
Of course, you will be required to remain
in the state, while we continue the investigation..

JOHN nods complacently, fixated on the PICTURE of his mother, MOLLY and himself

POLICE and HOSPITAL VEHICLES leave scene

JOHN exits building, swarmed by news reporters

STURGES eyes roll back and he collapses back
into his seat

MICHAEL grabs DRIVER’S head from behind, slamming it forward, into the STEERING WHEEL repeatedly

I never believed it,
never thought my Carol would commit suicide.
She was getting better, stronger,
after such a long time away.
But, I also never told her I was
in contact with your mother.
She may not have had the strength yet
to deal with that, and with recounting
all the events involving Michael,
and the Evil he had become..

JOHN
What exactly IS this
Evil Michael has become?

DENNIS
Thorn..
An ancient religion.
And, like all religions,
Thorn can be bent
toward Good or Evil,
depending upon the true faith of
the believers, masters and followers..

JOHN
So, what is Thorn?

DENNIS
The ancient Druids told tales,
wove magic spells, lived their lives by the stars,
by the constellations.
Thorn is one certain grouping of stars
that aligns in the heavens once every 1,000 years,
and stays relatively aligned for the next 50 years or so.
DENNIS
At the beginning of the Season of Thorn,
the stars form a reversed ‘P-shape’:
This is Wynn, the Guide under which the druids
would begin their rituals and ceremonies.
The Wynn would bestow prosperity and good health for a millennia,
to all those who believed and who followed Wynn,
though the price for such good living was heavy indeed.

The Curse of Thorn was this price;
As the Season of Thorn wore on, and the 50 years passed
the stars would realign, into the True Thorn,
the ‘P-Shaped constellation’
It was prophesied, that followers of Thorn
were cursed for their allegiance,
a curse which doomed the child first born under the Thorn
with insanity and pathology, Evil unmatched..

(DENNIS sighs heavily, and sobs)

..it’s all my fault, really.
I was only trying to help my family
to get ahead in troubled times.
A very few of us kept the ancient knowledge alive,
in secret, forming a society of scholars
centered on the Thorn religion, for
purposes of healing and meditation and divinity.
We were called the Thorn, but, in fact, we focused
mainly on the study of the Wynn,
meditating on prosperity and health and happiness.
It wasn’t until much later
that I discovered how others were focusing
on the darker side of Thorn, the Evil side.
By the time I learned the extent of their studies and practices,
it was too late for me to save my family..

JOHN
So, Michael was born with this curse,
the Curse of Thorn?
But, I’ve heard that my mother was also
a member of the Thorn,
and that you and grandma Carol had been killed
years ago, in a car accident.

DENNIS
(slight smile)
It’s funny your mother never mentioned me,
especially after settling down in California.
In fact, it was me who gave your mother
the idea to fake her death and escape
Haddonfield to being with!

JOHN gasps in surprise

DENNIS
You see after that night, that horrible Halloween in 1963,
we had our son, Michael, committed to the
Warren County Institution in Smith’s Grove.
Carol, your grandmother, suffered a severe
physical and mental break-down as a result of
all the stress and trauma of losing
her eldest daughter and only son in such a fashion.

To avoid the continuous media circus
surrounding the events of that night,
I took Carol away from it all,
invented the car-wreck and even arranged
to fake the whole scene
with the help of a few loyal friends.

To keep her safe, to spare her the agony
of watching her mother go mad,
as much as to prevent Carol
the nightmarish reminders of that night
I left our only remaining child,
Laurie, behind, to be raised
by another family in her home, Haddonfield.
It was the hardest decision I ever had to make,
separating mother from daughter,
but I did it, and knowing now what I didn’t know then,
I am glad I did it, and would do it again.

JOHN
But, Mom knew..
She knew you were still alive!
And, even I recognize some of your handwriting!
How is that possible?

DENNIS
There is so much to tell, child.
So much to tell, and so little time..

DENNIS and JOHN arrive home, park, leave car, enter house

JOHN
So, my mother fled with me, to California..
But, what about my father, and my sister?

DENNIS
I’m sorry for what I’m about to tell you, Son,
but at the time, it seemed like the best way..

INT MYERS HOUSE, MOMENTS LATER
DENNIS and JOHN enter house from EXT.

DENNIS
Your father, Jim Lloyd, divorced your mother
soon after you were born.
Your mother wasn’t dealing with the possible return of Michael
very well, she had been drinking heavily, and
even Jimmy had developed an addiction to anti-depressants.
They really did the best they could, under the circumstances,
but in the end, the courts decided it was best
to grant the divorce, and to allow the children
to choose which parent to live with.
Jamie, your sister, opted to stay with her father,
while you chose to remain with Laurie.
Your mother left Haddonfield as I had warned would be best,
while Jim stayed behind, to raise Jamie, eventually finding
a new step-mother to raise the little girl as her own.
Unfortunately, a car accident took them both from the world,
leaving Jamie alone and defenseless against Michael’s
inevitable return.
Those birthday cards and what-nots, you had
received ‘From Dad’ over your years in California?
They were from me, upon request of your mother,
who wasn’t ready to tell you the truth about your father.
Then, Michael DID return, and went after Jamie,
thinking that Laurie had been killed along with Jim
in the car accident.
He got to Jamie, just as he had gotten to Laurie,
and to—

DENNIS pauses, noticing DOOR to den ajar

JOHN
What is it, Grandfather?

DENNIS
(quietly)
Someone has been here..

DENNIS slips toward open DOOR
JOHN finds FIREPLACE POKER and stands at the ready
DENNIS recovers a .38-caliber pistol from his
trench coat and pushes DOOR open

From the darkness beyond the open DOOR,
a MALE VOICE calls

DENNIS

WYNN
You haven’t called me that in years, Denny..
It’s Doctor Wynn now, remember?

DENNIS

WYNN

as I am certain you will be happy to return the favor now.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I have, with some help.
And that is precisely why I cannot help you with your
quest to contain the pure Evil which consumes Michael!
No one can contain such a force of Evil!
It consumes and destroys everything it comes into contact with!

WYNN
Oh my, Dennis!
If I didn’t know better,
I’d swear you were as crazed as old Sam Loomis was!
Listen to yourself..

JOHN
NO! You listen, Doc!
I’ve read the tabloids!
I’ve heard all about you from my grandfather!
You are sick! This whole plan of yours,
what you’re doing to your family in the name of
some twisted religious belief is sick!
Immortal Evil for 100 years, 1,000 years?
Why?!

WYNN
Not Evil—POWER!
Uncorrupted, unbridled force of will!
That is the goal I seek to immortalize and contain
within the vessel, Michael Myers!

WYNN
This coming festival of Samhain is the final opportunity
of the millennia to capture the immortal essence,
to preserve it unto the next 1,000 years!

That day at the cemetery, I had a vision..
A vision of my wife and daughters,
in all their glory..

It was no trick of my mind!
It was a powerful sight, the vision.
Their words enlightened me,
summoned me, empowered me..

(long beat)

CHILDREN pound on FRONT DOOR again,
when there is no answer

The vision prepared me for a day of great sorrow;
THIS day!
The day I would face my son again,
for the first time, the last time
in a very long time.. Michael..

CHILDREN begin to squirm and get rowdy, pushing and teasing each other, chiding the ‘leader of the pack’ to knock again

more than familiar, more than that of
my beloved family..

NO BLOOD, NO BODIES.. Nobody home!

DENNIS

I was empowered to become a hunter..
Sam Loomis came to me in that vision,
filling me with his will, his wisdom,
and the knowledge he possessed,
in order to guide me in completing his work:
To face and to defeat the Evil that is Michael Myers!

From what Wynn said, they plan to use Michael in a ritual,
to grant him immortality for the next 1,000 years.
He’s already unstoppable! He’s already killed so many!
Mom! My sister! My friends! Grandma Carol!
How.. how can we stop him?!

DENNIS
Don’t you see, child?
Michael doesn’t want to kill, doesn’t want to be cursed!
He has fought against the curse, fought the Thorn
AND the Wynn, fought every side of the curse that binds him!
He wants to be free! He wants to live, and to die, in peace!
He doesn’t want the curse, but to break it, he feels compelled
to murder all those in his bloodline!
He only wants to be at peace, in mind and body,
the peace that has eluded him since he was that 6 year old boy!
Tonight, we will bring him that peace!
We must, or it will be too late.. for us all!

JOHN
But, HOW? How do we stop him?
We’re running out of bloodline, FAST!

They need the last to empower the first.
The last family member born into the Season of Thorn,
used as a sacrifice to empower the ritual to

Candle-light abounds throughout LIVING ROOM, probably
throughout entire house. No visible sign of electric
appliances. FIRE burning in FIREPLACE. Ritualistic,

including obvious THORN SYMBOLS everywhere.

Suddenly, MICHAEL MYERS stalks into LIVING ROOM from HALL!

JOHN gasps, ducking back out of sight, crouching just below
