You people scare me. Not you, cqtuna, I agree with you. LOTR is my life. I love the books. I love the movies. I love Tolkien. I love everything about LOTR and anything that has to do with it. Oh and happy birthday to Tolkien! Yeah, I know there's already a thread on this, but I just wanted to say it again. I am so glad Tolkien wrote these wonderful books so I have a reason to live: I read The Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy each year...I'm starting that tradition this year hehe 😛 Tolkien has given us something to love and cherish. And I do. Oh, and, Lil Seraph, why are you even in this forum? They are called "oliphants" and "memakils," not big elefants you filthy little humanses. And there were no "ogre things." Those were trolls and orcs and Uruk-hai and such. You are not one of us. We are true Tolkien fans who know what oliphants and trolls and hobbits and Middle-Earth is, unlike you. So read the books. Watch the movies 20 more times. Learn everything there is to learn about LOTR and THEN you can come back and talk about how awesome it is. Gah.
Did you guys ever notice the nice little magical "edit"-button?
That's massposting, cgtuna 😛
But I totally agree with you. I read LoTR and the Hobbit and the Silmarillion and the Unfinished Tales over and over again... And I absolutely love Tolkien for his work, I really rather live in Middle-earth than here (concerning my thoughts, I mean)
The edit button is a very wonderful magical thing 😉
LotR is definitely one of the best things ever though. I can't call myself a true book junkie because I haven't read the Silmarillion yet 😮 but I'm going to and I really love the books. And some of the time Middle-earth does seem like a much better place to be than here.
