He pulled Ariane into the shadows with him, and they circled round.

"' I overheard someone talking in DADA class and they mentioned a book. something like "a history of ancient runes" was the title i think

OOC: Is ok that i heard this convo in the dada thread or not.if not i can get rid of this message.

"Who do you think is here?" She whispered.

[ooc: There could be two copies.............or possibly there could be two different books.....maybe one is more detailed than the other........or perhaps i could write in that Peeves stole the book and gave it to madame pince...who put it back up........]

Sonia flipped the book open to where the page was missing. She ran her fingers over the symbols. She could feel energgy coming off it. She closed her eyes. "A page's missing." she whispered.

ooc: it's ok...that's why i put it there...however Jasmine didn't have the book..she had just heard about it from her cousin nyphora tonks! 😄

Ariana and Dale continued to creep through the shadows, Ariana now had her wand out too.

" maybe Rydell ripped it out?" laura wispered to sonia. she was thinking aobut this. DO you think that page had important information on it?"

Dale looked at the page in his hand, and the book Sonia was holding. He pointed his wand at Sonia and said
"Accio Book!"

Laura saw the page in dale's hand at the same time as dale said " accio book" Laura said, " expeliarmis" with her wand pointed at dale

OOC: Not sure if 1st years know accio, but htey do know expelliarmus, so i used that one

In Rydell's Office, HOURS AGO

Peeves was up to his usual nuisance as always, he particularly like picking on the teachers the most.

Being the school poltergeist he had known about a certain book that Professor Rydell was interested in. Had he not threatened Peeves at the beginning of the year he might have not pestered him at all. However that wasn't the case.

Peeves entered through the walls of Professor Rydell's office. He caused such mayhem that the students papers were scattered all over the floor. He was about to leave when he heard the professor snoring.

He quickly sped through the wall and looked around the room. This outta teach him to threaten ME! Peeves thought to himself after noticing his cloak hanging on a hook. Peeves noticed a book sticking out of the pocket. He quietly grabbed the book and burst out of the walls and into the halls. He flew into the library and tossed the book, and with a THUD it hit the wall of Madame Pince's office.

{ooc: this is what had woken up Madame Pince}

[MAN I GOTTA GET MY BOOKS OUT!!!!!]

"Accio book, Accio wand!" Ariana cried out. The book fell into her hands as so did Laura's wand.

"I will not give you this book, you don't understand this language, I do and I am telling you this is DARK MAGE MAGIC!" she said sternly.

Her own words seemed to have frightened her. She grabbed onto Dale's arm.

ooc: did dale succeesfully recieve the book or not? did my spell do anything?

[OOC:i am assuming your spell worked......so i got your wand and the book. hee hee]

[your ruining all our fun. so neither dale or i have the book or our wands? ANyone know where tela went!]

As she yelled Expalliarmus, Dale quickly dodged to the side. He knew he was a match for anything these first years threw at him. he grabbed the book of Ariane.
"This, I will look after."

[OOOOOOOOOOF! YOU TOOK IT FROM ME!!! 😂]

"Accio book!" Ariana said and the book came back to her. "Who's side are you on anyway Dale?" She said in an angered voice.

"You all don't realize the seriousness of all of this, now we could go over to those tables and all sit together and try to figure it out. OR we can keep fighting over it." "I do know how to read some of the runes....however this book will help me to translate it better. My father specialized in languages, particularly ancient ones." She said more calmer now.

[ TEla is no longer on line! so i guess sonia left the library. I dunno?] Laura looked compleatly bewildered by what had just happened. she turned around and sonia was no longer behind her. "darn it" laura thoguht to herself. she wasn't sure what sonia and drake would want her to do, she was only a first year and dale was much much older than her. he could hex her in a second. she would have to be really careful. " um... do you guys know anything about rydell and a green stone?" laura asked them, hoping that by sharing her information they gryfindors would leave her alone, maybe even help them. " we think he is the one that's been doing all the break ins." ( hope you dont mind me sharing this drake/sonia!)

"A green stone." Ariana's spun around to face the girl. "The green stone, the one of six ancient stones that if all are put together, then the world as we know it would be in GREAT peril!." She said to the girl. She was very frightened now, but tried hard not to show it.

"What else do you know?" She asked inquisitively.
