Ummm, obviously, yes,

Tom is, in contrary to the film-Legolassy, a very interesting character, not as obvious as some of the others,
Though I wonder why everybody thinks of Tommy when there's a discussion about "interesting" or "mythical" characters in LoTR... maybe because it's not clear what he actually is... but I think there are several others who deserve at least as much attention ✅
