Wickerman Ill vouch for Lord Summerisle, that guy was very creepy, I mean its Christopher Lee prancing around in a dress!!!! AWSOME!@! and the twist at the end was brilliant, I didnt see it coming from miles away. PROP TO THE Wicker Man (the movie and the poster in this forum)!!!!
Agreed Sir Christopher Lee is amazing in that film, hence his postioning in my opnion as the number one villian of all time, although he lacks the one liners that Freddy Kruger has or the sheer brutality of Jason Vorhees or Leatherface, Lord Summerisle still manages to create a sense of creepiness or evilness that i feel the majority of the more iconic horror icons have lost due to there endless re-incarnations. Even when Police Chief Howie does confront Summerisle, Lord Summerisle still manages to be creepy and downright evil without having to restore to violence, gratious language or cool one liners, instead he leads Howie into a battle of wits much like the situation we saw between Silence of the Lamb's Clarice Starling & Dr Hannibal Lecter on there first meeting with each other. Having seen the ending you know that he himself did not commit the devious deed himself instead he got his loyal followers to do it for him however he did not have to install violence or fear into them to get them to commit to do this instead his 'way with words' managed to brainwash a community to not only carry out this act but also make them as their leader.
And cheers for the compliment btw 🙂 .
