Great older flick for the young people... Martin.

I know alot of younger people in here don't really watch alot of the older horror movies. This thread is made for you. I reccomend you see the classic 1978 movie "Martin". The movie contains no big stars.........this will let you concetrate more on the story, not sit there like "hey, it's the new _____ movie!". For all you horror fanatics, the picture was written and directed by none other than George Romero .......and Tom Savini does play a role in the film.

This is a vampire movie........realisticly done. There are no transylvanian aristocrats in this film. Nobody has special powers. Nobody walks around in a cape with a pair of 2 inch fangs hanging out of their mouth. If you want to see a movie about vampires.......the way a vampire would actually be, watch "Martin". This is a must see for any horror fan.

P.S. If you don't know who George Romero or Tom Savini is, get the fuck out of the horror forum.

Is that the one where he uses a syringe to puncture his victims? I saw that on sale the other day.

Yep, one of the few vampire movies that doesn't portray vampires as dead homosexuals.

something like that Samhain.........he uses the syringe to drug the women and make them go to sleep.........he uses a razor blade to actually get to the blood.

I think I saw an extended trailer of sorts on a Romero documentary I saw one time. The show didn't portray it in a very good manner and made it look too hammy, which is why I have steered clear of it. But I may decide to pick it up. What do you think? Worth 3.99?
