euhm yerssot I'm sorry but if he died by the lord of the nazgul I don't think it can be lord elrond (who u are referring to) cause the battle (I THINK) took place before the fellowship of the rings
and elrond is still alive in that book

Errr... I already answered that one, guys. It was Theoden.

And Pelennor fields is in Return of the King.

I don;t think the Rohirrim were AT that original battle; and if they were thjey would have had a different name.
