I am almost sure its a Band

I know that. I'm just wonding if the line I have comes from a song by them.

yep thats the basic, plus I posted a pic of Maedhros on thispage and he had the black hair 🙂

also, back to my pic, I also assumed that Maedhros was hung high.....HIGH above the cliffside and not about 6-7 feet above some sort of road 😬

As far as I remember, it was Maedhros who was known for his copper-red hair (didnt his mother also have copper-coloured hair?)...
By the way, his "mother name" given to him was Maitimo (=Maedhros) which means "well-shaped [one]", obviously because of his good looks 😉
